----Azriel's POV----

Cassian was sprawled across my bed, watching me try on my third outfit of the evening. "So, you're sure you don't want to fuck the daylights out of Jez?" he asked, picking up the book I had been reading before he had come over, mindlessly flicking through the pages.

I was sure I wanted to fuck Jez's brains out, especially after her ridiculous claim that Cass's wingspan was bigger than mine. What a load of shit. I bet I could have her begging for my cock, like all the other females had done in the past.

I flexed my wings out as far as they could, Cass looked up a smirk on his face. I wasn't going to tell him that I wanted to rail Jez.

"Yes," I replied coolly, adjusting the maroon leathers and turning to the mirror.

"And you telling me to go on a date with Nesta, instead of coming with you on this recon mission, was out of the goodness of your heart?"

"Yes."

No. The conversation this morning did not go to plan and I was ninety per cent sure Rhysand was going to have my wings because I didn't let her continue her story. I honestly didn't want her to finish it because it meant telling Rhysand everything once I returned back from my mission.

I paused at my belt when it hit me. Rhysand was going to kill me anyway because I now wanted to take Jez to find out more on Koschei, instead of Cass. Rhys was definite that watching the wizard was sure to have some answers we were looking for, especially at the speed Jez was going at.

"She's a cute one," Cass said, I could see the smile on his face in the mirror.

"I've seen better," I muttered but all I could think of was the female at peace on top of me when I awoke, or how she looked in the moonlight in the theatre.

"Nesta likes her."

"Nesta likes anyone who can put her in her place," I pointed out. Cass grinned wolfishly at me. "But she also wants to learn how to be a Valkyrie."

"I was thinking about that actually," Cassian said, throwing my book onto the bed. "Do you think Jez made them?"

I frowned, not at the question, but at the leathers. No, the maroon leather didn't go with the leather trousers at all. Tearing it off, I threw them on the ground and walked over to my wardrobe. "I hadn't really thought about it. She doesn't look it."

"I disagree, the house gave Nesta a book..." Cass said. There was a ruffle behind me while I pulled out one of newer sets. It was tough still and it would probably fit a lot tighter. Walking back over to the mirror, I threw the leather armour on top of my white cotton shirt. In the mirror, Cassian was looking through a battered old book. In the hands of a normal Fae, it would have been a normal size. In his hands, it looked like one of those pocket diaries some kept to write down their groceries.

"Reading? I didn't know you could do that."

"Go fuck yourself," Cassian laughed. Without tearing his gaze from the one in his hand, he picked up the book he had previously been flicking through and flung it at me. I caught it with my left hand, chucking the book onto my desk.

"You might need to work on that aim of yours. Are you sure Nesta's not running that hand down?"

"I'm not sure you're one to talk. Three females at once, Az? Fae talk," Cass murmured, the humour in his voice gone.

I narrowed my eyes at my brother, immediately irritated at his comment. "What did you say?"

"I've known you for a long time Azriel," Cassian told me, his eyes finally meeting mine. They were stern. "I know the three of us used to fuck around and sleep with females in the same room, for Mother's sake we spit roasted Nesta, but Elain and Gwyn? Now Jez? You're going to be in the shitter because that's Nesta's sister and friend you're fucking around with."
