[ Studying ]
He/she came downstairs to see (Name) propped up against the couch, phone in hand, TV on, and a bowl of chips placed beside him/her. "(name) why aren't you studying? It's a Monday and you're supposed to be working on your verbs and adjectives."
He/she gaped at him/her and raised a brow. Absentmindedly, he/she reached for the nearest book on the floor, opened it, and placed it on his/her lap.
"Studying," he/she enunciated. "Verb: the act of texting, eating, and watching with an open book nearby."
With a sly smile, he/she closed the book, tossed it aside, and focused once more on his/her phone.
