*Emily- "wait.....what?"
*Charlie- "Please Emily you can't tell anyone".
Emily knew he wasn't joking around, this was serious. Tears started to form in his eyes.
*Emily- "hey don't worry I won't".
*Charlie- "promise?".
*Emily- "promise".
*Charlie- "Emily, what do I do?"
*Emily- "...I-I don't know."

"Austin I don't know-"
*Austin- "just come to dinner tomorrow I'll send a carriage your way, you can give me your answer then".
(Kisses Sue on the cheek)
*Sue- "okay".
(Emily enters)
*Austin- "Emily! Where have you been?"
*Emily- "nowhere just...helping a friend".
*Austin- "Mom and Dad have been worried sick".
*Emily- "Sorry, I'll go and tell them I'm okay".
*Sue- "Emily wait."
Emily stops and turns around to face Sue
*Sue- "Can we talk".
*Emily- "yea sure".
*Sue- "in private?".
*Emily- "uh okay".

"Emily?"
*Emily- "it's gonna be okay, I have to go but we can talk again tomorrow okay?".
*Charlie- "okay".
Emily had left and Charlie was all alone
"What I'm going to do?...if my parents find out they'll send me away, I have no where else to go".
Charlie was in distress, he had never told anyone his secret and didn't know if he could really trust Emily with it. If she went and told then his life would be over.
"HEY!"
*Charlie- "George?".
In the heat of anger George walks up to Charlie and punches him square in the face. Charlie falls and stares up at George in confusion.
*George- "you stay away from her you hear me! She's mine!
*Charlie- "Who?, Emily!?"
*George- "YES! And If I ever see you come near her again I'll kill you.
*Charlie- "George wait it's not like that i-
*George- "I don't want to hear your excuses, say you won't see her again".
*Charlie- "I-
*George- "Say it!"
*Charlie- "ok I won't".
*George- "good". (Walks away)
"Now I'm really in trouble".

"What did you want to talk about?"
*Sue- "your brother asked me out".
Emily wasn't sure why those simple words upset her so much but she felt the need to convince Sue otherwise.
*Emily- "oh and what did you say?".
*Sue- "I told him I wasn't sure, he said he can wait till tomorrow for my answer".
