The pair arrived at House Blossom.

"Welcome back, little blossom. King Scott," Katherine smiled, curtsying to Scott. Fawn curtsied to Katherine. Scott bowed as well, in turn.

"Are you here to see it?" Katherine turned to Fawn, a giddy smile spreading across her face. Fawn nodded viciously. They went to the Experimenting Greenhouse. Fawn's smile just about ran off her face. The white lily, pink reaching from it's center in a light tint was frosted at the tips of it's petals. Fawn let out a huge sigh,

     "It's beautiful."

"It's one of the best custom creations I've seen," Katherine mentioned. Katherine had been asking all the heirs to come to the Overgrown at some point to craft a custom flower in the Experimenting Greenhouse.

"Can you make more? The Festival starts tomorrow and I'd love to decorate Rivendell with some," Scott asked. Fawn looked at her dad, beaming.

"Yes, I can whip you a stack or three by nightfall, come back when you need them!" Katherine said, perkily.

"Alright, I'll stop by in the morning," Scott said.

"Bye!" Fawn waved and she and her father retreated back to Rivendell.

..:^:..

Darkness greeted Fawn as she opened her eyes. She peered at her alarm color. 4:53 a.m.  With a groan, she tugged her tired body out of her bed. She was exhausted but couldn't sleep. Fawn left her warm feet cool against the wood planks lining the floor. She left her quarters and exited the castle. She pulled on soft slippers and headed along the path. She made her way to the great hall. Before entering, she looked across the water. The Enchanting Tower loomed over the kingdom of Rivendell. Fawn squinted. Was the magical crystal...turning red? She blinked and it was gone. Probably just a trick of the light. She looked over at the large stag statue near her. Fawn was taken aback. It's head was lowered. Not drastically, but noticeably. Her expression softened but remained worried.

"Aeor...? What's wrong?" Lightning flashed. Fawn's heart jumped and she turned around, running back towards the castle. She stopped short and screamed, falling on her back. A black shadowy figure with twisted horns stood far up the path, watching her. She screamed again.

     "DAD!"

..:^:..

Fawn's dad twisted the irregular streaks of blonde, the same as the tips of her hair, back into a half up twisted ponytail. He tied it off with his signature color of green. She turned around and hugged her dad.

"Thank you," she whispered. Jimmy smiled at the little girl.

"Go get changed," he instructed. Fawn pushed herself up and ran to put on her festival dress.  Fawn pulled the knee length dress on. It was shades of icy blues and purples. She pulled on the matching flats and looked in the mirror. She smiled at her appearance. Scott appeared in the doorway.

"Ready to go?" he asked, smiling. Fawn looked in the mirror, her head tilted.

"Um..." she took a long moment to think on what to say next. She was not ready, she had a million questions about the previous few hours but she'd been waiting for the festival ever since they took down last years decorations. The festival was a special  time that came once a year. It was only called the festival because it had no particular reason, other than to spend time with your family and friends. You give gifts to one another and sometimes, you learn something new as you've grown older. "I guess so." Scott's smiled turned ever so slightly worried. She was always delighted towards the festival. Jimmy had said they needed to talk after the Royal Ceremonies. Something about earlier in the morning.
