Estella's Papa yelped as he felt something sneak around his legs, causing her to let out a giggle. Everyone was happy for the little Madrigal and his amazing gift.

"He did it," Estella said, clapping and whooping along with everyone. She faced her parents with a wholehearted smile, pure joy and excitement leaking from her face. "Antonio got a gift!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down like a child, spreading the news to her parents who also happened to witness what happened.

People were going up the stairs, rejoicing as they enter Antonio's room, viewing it in all its glory. And not moments later, a jaguar even came running by making Estella's eyes widen in surprise.

"Santa mierda." She muttered under her breath, earning a light, playful nudge from her mother. "Oops. Lo Siento, Mama." She giggled, clinging to her arm lovingly as they ascend up the stairs, passing the picture of Alma Madrigal's dead husband, excited to view Antonio's room along with the others too distracted to notice Mirabel walking away from everyone else as she sang her heartbreaking song to herself.

Feeling alone and like an outcast from her family. Again.

Camilo was scanning the crowd, looking for the familiar mop of black curly hair that belonged to Estella. And as his eyes landed on her smiling face, he couldn't help but stand still there in the crowd, his blood flowing up to his cheeks.

She was just there, dancing when her Papa started twirling her around. She looked so happy as she smiles and dances around with everyone. Camilo watched her in awe, seeing her hair bouncing along with her every movement, the way how she tilts her head in any direction every time she laughs, he liked everything about her.

But something about her beautiful smile makes him sad too.

He wanted her to be happy all the time, he wanted to make her laugh at his jokes every day just to see her smile and he'll do anything to preserve it.

Even if it means letting her go to be with someone else someday.

If only he knew she liked her back. If only he knew that she feels just as heart-struck as he does whenever they talk to each other, touch each other, or even just see each other.

Camilo locked eyes with Estella and almost jolted in surprise. She waved at him and started walking closer, finding her way to the crowd as Camilo started doing the same. Running a hand through his hair nervously. He can't help but smile just to be closer to her.

"Hey," She breathed out, "I thought you were with Antonio." She says, smiling confusedly. "Ah, well," Camilo let out, pointing somewhere. Anywhere.

"Mami and Papi are with him right now." He explained, feeling his palms get sweaty from the nervousness he's feeling. Estella nodded as a response, "Right, right." She mumbled, also feeling nervous.

This is so awkward.

Both of them thought, scolding themselves in their thoughts, trying to come up with something to say.

"Do you want to like, dance?"
"Should I get you something to eat?"

"Wait, what?" Camilo chuckled as Estella's face started flushing a bright red, finding her bashfulness cute.

"Nothing, I just, y'know," Estella tries to explain, stuttering with every word that comes out of her mouth, making her want to bury herself underground and never resurface.

Camilo's cheeks had a faint color of pink in them as he amusedly watches Estella break down in front of him, mumbling all sorts of things. "Calm down, Estella." He cooed with an amused smile, grabbing her by her shoulders, only making her feel the opposite.

"If you'd rather not dance you could always tell me," He joked, hoping that she does want to deep inside. "No, it's not that, I just uhm," Estella tries to explain, clearing her throat.

"I didn't know what else to say." She muttered in defeat, looking at anything but Camilo, her cheeks still flushed. He grabbed both of her hands, placing them in his, slowly moving her around. "Do I need to teach you how to dance again?" He asked, smiling playfully as he urges Estella to dance with him as she suggested, making her scoff and push his face away.

"Yeah, right. I don't even recall such a thing." She says, rolling her eyes at the boy, feeling more at ease as the seconds pass by, her body finally dancing along.

"What ever you say, Señorita Estella." He teased, sticking his tongue out playfully at her as she furrowed her brows at him but was replaced with a snort as Camilo started shapeshifting into her and mocking her face.

"Ugh, do I really look like that?" She joked, turning away and noticing a familiar pretty face, wincing. A figure standing in the corner with her hands covering both ears and her eyes closed tight. Estella tries to tell Camilo about Dolores, but as she looks back at him, he was displaying a puzzled look on his face as he stared at his hands.

"Camilo," Estella spoke with worry, "Are you okay?" She asked, her voice more gentle and soft, grabbing his face, snapping him out.

"What?" Camilo finally answered, "Yeah, I'm fine." He lied, shrugging.

He definitely felt weird for a moment. As if he felt something was missing all of a sudden.

"Why do you look so worried?" He grinned, grabbing her hands and intertwining them with his, trying to calm her down.

Too perplexed to even react to the way how Camilo was holding her hands, Estella stared at him as if he just played a prank she didn't like, unsure of what to say.

"Nothing, I guess... I just– I think the party is too loud for Dolores, I saw her covering her ears earlier." She explained, trying to release her hand from Camilo's grip to point at where she saw his sister. He pouted, pulling Estella's face upward to face him even though he was just two inches taller.

"Was Dolores the only one you were worried for?" He asked, his voice hushed, almost like a whisper, sending chills down her spine. "But you said–, I wa–, huh?" She struggled to push out words due to the confusion she was feeling, mixed with the butterflies that were going wild inside her stomach.

Estella groaned, freeing her hands and pushing Camilo's face away from hers before she does anything stupid. She sighed, pinching Camilo's cheeks, "You know, you're so confusing sometimes."

Camilo opened his mouth to say more but was interrupted when they heard his cousin, Mirabel, warn everyone about what she saw, pushing through the crowd toward their Abuela, yelling.

"The house is in danger!"
