"A Suspicious Scenario"
"Yo, 'Milo," Mirabel called out, raising a hand to say hi. "Where's your roomie? We're going to have breakfast soon."
The boy shrugged, "I heard him wake up but I was too sleepy to open my eyes," He said, earning a face of disbelief from Mirabel.
"The sun wasn't even up yet when he left. A face like mine needs a consistent eight-hour beauty sleep per night y'know," Camilo explained, gesturing at his face as he grins at his cousin while she rolls her eyes at him with a smile.
"Well," Mirabel said with a sigh, "I'm just glad you aren't so gloomy anymore. Jealousy doesn't really suit you." She teases aloud, making the boy's eyes widen as he turns at the halls to see if anyone other than Dolores heard.
"What?" Mirabel asked, looking around with him before shaking her head at the boy. "It's not like you're discreet with your romantic feelings, primo." The words escape her mouth while a smirk plays on her face, "I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in town knew."
"Ay, Mirabel, shh!" Camilo shushes, placing a finger on her lips. "It's still embarrassing when you say it out loud." He confesses as the girl just stares at him in amusement.
"Alright, whatever you say, lover boy," Mirabel shrugs before the two of them were called by Luisa to come down to eat breakfast, their family wondering where their guest was, the same as Mirabel from earlier.
"I heard him mention wanting to leave tomorrow," Dolores says to the family, telling them what she heard, "He says he doesn't want to trouble anyone," She explains further as their family continues the conversation with Enrique as their topic, making Camilo's sourness return to him from yesterday.
After breakfast, Camilo had the urge to go visit his one and only, Estella, like how he is every day. Today, however, he doesn't feel as confident. Especially since he found out Mirabel was tailing him.
"Mira, why are you following me?" He asked, finally confronting her after a few uncomfortable meters of walking, making her scoff. "Pft, I'm not following you. We just so happen to be headed to the same location, that's all." She tries to explain only to earn herself an arched brow from her cousin.
"What? You're not the only one who can visit Estella," Mirabel says, placing her hands on her hips when all of a sudden a person popped out, out of nowhere causing the two to jump at each other in surprise.
"Estella's not at home," Dolores mentioned, she couldn't help but overhear them on her way to visit her beloved Mariano. Although even if she wasn't heading in the same direction as them, she'd still hear it. "She's with Enrique in the forest."
"Alone," She added, "Together, with each other," Dolores says, internally rooting for Camilo's jealous crush arc, intentionally mentioning how the two of them were spending time together without anyone else for mischievous purposes. She's Pepa and Felix's daughter, after all. Mischief is in the genes.
The pretty lady shrugged at Mirabel and Camilo after suddenly interjecting in their conversation, leaving as quickly as she arrived, letting out one of her cute squeaks before walking away.
The two, Mirabel and Camilo, glanced at each other and at Dolores in a perplexed manner before both of them marched off in the direction of the forest, in search of a newbie, and what they expect to be a very curious girl.

"So," Mirabel started, walking with her cousin inside the woods, specifically looking for someone. Or should we say, someones?
"Wanna tell me why you're so jealous?" She asks, almost making Camilo's head turn 360° so quickly just to face her, "I'm not jealous," He fake laughed, trying to dismiss the subject of him clearly being jealous even when it's so obvious with his face.
"Mhm, and I don't need glasses," Mirabel sarcastically said, "C'mon primo, you know you can tell me anything. It's written all over your face."
As Camilo sighed frustratedly, he stops and turns to Mirabel in defeat with his arms crossed, noticing how Mirabel was looking at him with her mhm face. "Yeah, see," She mentioned, moving her hand in a circular motion to gesture for Camilo's entire face, "Very obvious."
"Is this payback for drawing on your face last week?" Camilo asked, not at all upset about all the teasing.
Just a little bit annoyed – he can never stay mad at his prima.
Smiling playfully, Mirabel shrugged at him, happy at how the boy's smile started to show itself little by little, lifting each other's moods up. When suddenly, they heard faint laughter in the distance.
They tried following the sound until unfortunately, it died down. However, they still managed to catch a glimpse of two figures sitting near the river in the distance.
"..it would be nice if you came along," Mirabel and Camilo heard, eavesdropping in the distance, creepily crouching behind a bush looking like amateur corporate spies.
"Yeah, it would," Estella agreed, before silence enveloped them for a moment.
Mirabel and Camilo thought that they'd been just sitting in silence when one of them noticed how their lips were moving, indicating that the two were whispering at each other, their faces involuntarily inching closer each minute.
"Why are they whispering all of a sudden?" Mirabel asked softly, making sure that her voice wasn't loud enough for only Camilo to hear. "Is it just me or are they getting closer?" Camilo asked, staring intensely while Mirabel glances at him before looking back at Estella and Enrique, murmuring words to each other, just about to recite her ideas.
"Maybe they're sharing secrets?" She suggested, chuckling weakly before turning to look at Camilo, her eyes getting wide as soon as she saw him marching towards the two.
"No, wait, Camilo!"
