Lizzie found Hope and Josie lying in the living room. First, she shook her sister gently, but when she saw that she didn't respond she tried Hope. With her things were easier, just a slight shoulder shake was all it took for the tribrid to wake up. However, she was still puzzled when she opened her eyes.

"What happened?" Hope asked as she tried to sit up.

"That's exactly what I'd like to know, why isn't Josie waking up?"

Hope instantly turned her gaze to Josie. Worry flooded her face, but she quickly regained her composure.

"It was the witches of the coven, they cast a spell to trap us in our minds or something like that. They wanted to get to Kai and they thought we were going to stop them. I don't give a damn about Kai, but I don't have a good feeling about this effort to catch him. We have to get to him"

Lizzie was trying to digest all Hope was saying when she remembered her sister was still unconscious "And what do we do with Josie, Are we supposed to just leave her lying here?"

"Let's take her to the room, she can stay there. We can put a barrier spell to keep her safe"

Lizzie gave Hope an offended and incredulous look, "You didn't put a barrier spell in the room when I was in there all passed out"

"I really didn't think about it," Hope said somewhat embarrassed.

Lizzie just looked at Hope skeptically and rolled her eyes.

"I'm sorry, okay. Now let's go," Hope said, still blushed by shame, but already turning to Josie.

Hope lifted Josie as gently as she could and went upstairs. Lizzie let Hope take care of that while she stood admiring her surroundings. They were ominous, to say the least; broken glass everywhere, cold air flooding the room, and this weird vibe that hadn't gone away since the ascendant was shattered. Lizzie didn't have a chance to get lost in those fateful thoughts for long, as Hope was back in the blink of an eye, ready to jump into action as always, that's something Lizzie admired about her.

"So what's the plan?" Hope asked

"Aren't you the one who always has a plan?" Lizzie retorted

"I'm losing my touch, I guess"

Lizzie sacrificed the snarky remark she had in mind to ponder for a moment: what was the plan? Did they really need a plan? I mean yes, the witches were after Kai, but since when was that their problem? They were finally alone, they could have a moment of peace at last.

"I got it," But of course, Hope Mikaelson had something else in mind, she knew something was wrong and she wasn't going to let the bad guys get away with it, even if it meant putting them in danger, that was something Lizzie didn't admire that much "Let's do a locator spell to find Kai"

"That's it? A locator spell? You really think he's stupid enough not to cloak himself?"

"Good point. I'm telling you, I'm losing my touch," Hope stayed silent for a while, "Okay, maybe he's smart enough to cloak himself, but he's also selfish enough to not care about those girls he was with. So maybe we can use a locator spell on that stupid blonde who kept eyeing Josie"

"Stupid blonde? Wait. Are you jealous?" Lizzie couldn't sacrifice her snarky comment this time.

"Jealous? pffff Don't be ridiculous, Lizzie" Hope was clearly getting nervous, it looked like Lizzie had hit a nerve.

"Well, I mean, you look upset," Lizzie insisted.

"Focus, okay? There are some psycho witches looking for someone even more psycho man to use him for God knows what"
