INVITATIONS ARE OUT

The next morning Eddie felt warm arms around his torso. As he registered where he was he remembered who else was in his bed. He felt so warm and protected. In his head, he enjoyed that Buck was stuck like glue to him lately even if he needed the support himself. He loved the support it gave him too. Having someone else in his bed was comforting, As Eddie started to get up he felt Buck's arms wrap around him tighter. And damn did it take everything in him not to get comfortable again and never move. As he slid off the bed and headed to the bathroom he could hear Buck getting up from his bed. And before he had a chance to breathe in the muscle memory he now had of Buck's arms around him. Buck appeared in front of him smiling so bright, if Eddie wasn't sure he wasn't dreaming he would think Buck was the sun. as he put his hand on the door frame to ground himself he said " so are you cooking or are we going out to eat since we are going to be handing out invitations' ' asked Eddie. Smiling Buck said " Yes, we can go out to eat, move over, let me brush my teeth." as they brushed their teeth Eddie couldn't stop staring at Buck. when they were done. They went into the room to get dressed for breakfast. " Can I wear your green sweater?" asked Buck, " sure but only if you give me back my orange one" said Eddie as he laughs knowing it was at Buck's apartment. "You know it's at my loft. But I do have the blue one." Said Buck. " You can grab it from the basket. I'm going to wake Chris for school." Buck as he walked away to Chris' room.

" Hey buddy, time for breakfast," said Buck as he opened the door. waking Chris was always a joy to buck the boy was a walking star always happy and bright even in the morning. He loved that boy more than anything.

Hey guys, are you dressed? Both Buck and Chris said yes! As Eddie opens the door he sees Buck sitting on Chris' bed helping him with the buttons on his shirt, seeing their kid wearing a green and blue plaid shirt he was so glad Buck was doing better, this was the Buck that Eddie wishes he could kiss, " who dressed you, Chris? Was it Buck? Smiling Chris nodded." Buck, you realize he matches both of them right now. They are going to think we planned it" said Eddie laughing. Rolling his eyes Buck said, "come on Chris go brush your teeth so we can go get breakfast before we drop you off at school."

" Okay bucky," Chris said as he walked to the restroom. Brushing his teeth Chris couldn't stop wondering why Buck was still here. Were dad and Buck dating? He couldn't ask them directly, he had to ask someone else. Maybe if he texted Denny, he could ask his moms. When he finished brushing his teeth he went to get his tablet to quickly text his best friend

CHRIS: Hey, have you heard anything about my dad and buck dating?

DENNY; What, not all my parents have said that he has been living there now because his parents were in his apartment and he didn't feel safe or something. But if they were dating my moms would have thrown a party by now. They have been waiting forever. Maybe they like each other.

CHRIS: no duh Denny. You have 2 moms. I have 2 dads. They just aren't married yet.

DENNY: true my moms always say that. Maybe they are waiting till after your birthday.

CHRIS: They have been acting weird so maybe. Okay I got to go but bye

When everyone was ready they went to check on Maddie who was still sleeping, knocking on the door buck walked in trying to wake up his sister slowly to not scare her. " Maddie, wake up, are you hungry? We are going to breakfast. Do you want to come with us?" Buck asked his sister waking up, Maddie replied " yes, I would love to. Let me go get dressed, and brush my teeth." as Buck walks out the door he tells Eddie and Chris that Maddie is coming with him.

As the 4 of them walked out the door grabbing the invitations that they needed to deliver for next weekend. They decided to go to this little bistro called the break spot. It had good french toast and great pancakes for Chris. As they walk in the hostess says " how cute sweetie did you match your dads' ' Buck and Eddie look at each other and smile. And Chris gladly says "YES! They were very excited about it." As they were seated they looked at the menu and decided to get pancakes and Chris wanted french toast. And Maddie just got an omelet with fruit. She wasn't really hungry. As they waited for their food, Maddie made conversation about how everything was going and Eddie asked about the baby. Buck sat there trying to return to the land of living he feels like he's been out of it for the last couple of days, he remembers bits and pieces but still hadn't gotten the full picture. As he was thinking to himself Eddie said his name and as he looked up he could see the look Eddie gives him when he zoomed out. " yes sorry you were saying" Buck asks Eddie "I was asking if we were going to Athena and Bobby's at the end so we could stay for dinner after we grab Chris from school " Eddie asks Buck
