Chapter 15 A New Kind Of Friendship (past)

Solarnia's P.O.V.

When I returned to camp everything seemed normal 'No one else has a clue he's gone not yet.
I cautiously walked over to Hollycloud's den.
"Um, Hollycloud are you there?" I asked and he replied, "Solarina come in." I entered feeling nervous. I also noticed that Mystic was gone.
'I'll talk to her later this is kinda more important and needs to come out now.
"Solarnia what seems to have you troubled?"
I opened my mouth to speak but the the words were hard to come out. "Oh, well it's sorta about Apollo." He nodded. "Oh I hope you're still not worried about him are you?"
"Well, you see there's sorta been an accident."
"Oh, what do you mean?" I took a deep breath and looked him in the eye.
"He's dead." Shock lit the Espeons gaze. "What? How did this happen? What do you mean he's dead?"
"I... I was only out for a drink and he attacked me I didn't mean for it to happen I swear! All I did was move out of the way and he went down the waterfall." He slowly nodded. "I see, so he attacked again and Arceus punished him for it well I better inform the others what has happened."
"No! Everyone will think I did it!"
"Solarina, the path to Arcues can be hard for some Mons at times. But believe me if they choose to not Believe you that doesn't matter Arceus saw what happened today. You will reach the light at the end of the tunnel no matter how hard the consequences may be. "I frowned feeling my ears droop. "Ugg I suppose your right."
I walked out feeling nervous as he called a meeting and everyone fell into place.
Then I heard Athena's voice. "Hu? wheres Apollo? He should be here."
Then I heard more Espeons murmuring in agreement. "Yeah, it's not like him to be late for a meeting." Then I felt Mystic move in to sit beside me. "Solarina? You any idea what this might be about?"
"You'll know shortly," I answered.
"Espeons of Holyland! I bring bad news about Apollo, Solarnia just finished telling me the story." I felt embarrassed as a lot of eyes fell on me. "Solarnia has told me that Apollo again attempted to kill her but he failed, and by doing so it killed him." Everyone gasped in shock then I felt cold glares on me and Athena stood up.
"YOU! You killed him didn't you!" More Espeons were hissing. "Hollycloud how could you Believe her? She's lying she killed him!" Mystic yelled out. "NO! Solarnia didn't mean for him to die she was only defending herself! Apollo has been trying to kill her ever since she joined us it's not fair to pick on her!" I felt warmed by Mystic's words. Then Hollycloud yelled, "ENOUGH!"
Everyone went quiet as he spoke. "I believe Solarnia's story she is just as sorry as anyone else is about his loss. She will receive no punishment whatsoever." Then he retrieved back into his den.
Just as I got up Athena marched over to me looking both sad and angry.
"You, you took him away." His gaze hardened. "You'll pay for this." His voice cracked as he had tears in his eyes. "I'll make you sorry!" Then he turned and slowly stalked away with his tail dragging on the ground behind him. I saw Mace running after him looking troubled. I felt bad seeing Athena like that. Then I heard a voice. "Good thing you turned me down after all, I didn't realize you were a complete psycho." Mystic growled, "You leave her alone!"
He smiled. "Oh hey, there cutie~ perhaps you'd like to go out with me instead?" This did it for me as I felt pure rage. 'How dare he try to ask her out right in front of me!
I hissed. "She's not interested in you!"
"Oh I was asking for her opinion, not yours"
"Solaria is right you're a jerk and if you're going to treat her like that then I want nothing to do with you." He hissed. "You two are weird whatever then I'll just find someone much more Beautiful anyway!" Then he walked away.
Mystic nudged me "Come on Solarnia let's go."

Once we were out on the hilltop together I let out a deep sigh and Mystic lay down beside me.
"Rough day for both of us hu?"
She said and I nodded then looked at her. "So what happened to your arm? I wanna know who did that to you." Panic lit her purple eyes, "Oh, I was attacked by a lone lycanroc." I held her gaze and then raised a brow. "Last night?" She nodded her head. "what were you doing out in the woods all by yourself?" I felt like she was lying to me.
'It's not like her to venture off alone in the dark.
She shrugged. "I er... I heard a noise and was curious so I decided to go check it out."
"Mystic I know your lying to me. Can't you just tell me?" She sighed looking upset. "I'd rather not talk about it." I felt frustrated with that answer then she changed the subject. "So what happened with you today? It didn't work out with Harley?"
"No, and it's clear why. He doesn't care about me and he was already thinking of becoming mates I don't need that in my life. and with Apollo, he attacked me when I was by the river for a drink all I did was move aside and he just flew in and never came back out." Mystic sighed "Well at least we don't have to worry about him anymore. But now I'm worried about Athena." I noticed she looked sad when she mentioned his name and it clicked. "Athena did this to you?!" She looked taken aback. "N...no that's not what I said he would never." Her voice shook at the end of her sentence and she paused. I saw that she had tears in her eyes and she sat down and started crying I moved close to her and hugged her.
"Oh, Mystic I'm sorry but why did he do this?"
I felt her press herself against me holding me tighter just letting it out for a few more seconds before pulling away. "Please Solarnia... I... I don't want any trouble can we just forget about it?"
"But I'm trying to help you. I need to make sure he doesn't do this again."
"No, you'll only make things worse just leave it be."
"But I care about you so much I hate seeing you like this." I noticed her face turned red with a blush. "I know you care. you're a great friend."
"No Mystic it's more than that! When I was with Harley I kept thinking of you the whole time." Surprise lit her gaze "Oh? What are you saying?"
I looked her in the eyes feeling my heart pound in my chest. 'I don't wanna blow this friendship but I can't deny my feelings for her I hope I'm not making a mistake... she's all I have.
I took a deep breath. "I love you Mystic." Her eyes grew wide as she stared at me. I looked at her trying to read her facial expression. "You... love me?... as in.... you're in love?"
I slowly nodded. "y..yes." She was quiet for a moment then looked at me with a blush. "I never thought I'd hear you say it. I have feelings for you two I just thought I was being weird I-."
I pulled her closer and kissed her on the lips and she kissed me back then I pulled away from her.
She was blushing deeply. "Oh, Solarnia I think I wanted this for some time now... is it wrong?"
"Did that feel wrong to you?" She shook her head "No, it felt great." I purred. "Good because I can hardly contain myself." I lightly pinned her down and kissed her for a bit then she slowly sat up with a panicked look in her eyes. "Solarnia do you know what we're getting ourselves into? do you know what will happen if we get caught?"
I gave a little mischievous smile. "We won't this is our secret spot no one will ever know about us."
"But do you know what would happen?"
"I can take a good guess they would burn us right?"
"One of us the other would be forced to take a male as their mate. Solarnia I'm worried."
I shrugged it off. "Well don't you always scared of being buried to death... it won't happen."
I say as we begin to head back.
"Solarnia please take this seriously no one can know about us." I stop to look her in the eyes. "Mystic no one will ever know. I promise we'll be ok." I say putting my paw on hers making her blush a bit more she lightly kisses me on the cheek. "Thank you Solarnia." She says with a purr and I nuzzle my nose with hers, then we continue walking once we arrive back in Holyland an Espeon growls right away. "And where were you two just now?" Athena questions looking very annoyed. "Mystic, I've been looking all over for you!" Her ears dropped and I could tell she was in distress. I got mad pinning my ears flat against my head. "You leave her be Athena can't you see your upsetting her?" He glared at me and then snarled. "Don't speak to me like that!" I stood tall. "I'll speak to you in any tone I choose!"
"Please don't fight." Mystic whimpered.
Then Athena narrowed his eyes. "You both should know better than to wander off outside the borders!" Then he turned his gaze to his sister. "Mystic come we need to talk." I got protectively in front of her. "Not on my watch!"
"Excuse me?" he said looking more angry I hissed. "I'm not going to let you bully your sister any longer Athena I know it was you who hurt her arm! That's very abusive if you love your sister then you most certainly shouldn't be hitting her." Suddenly he charged at me with a shadow ball and I was taken by surprise as it hit me.
"Solarina!" Mystic exclaimed sounding worried as Athena was charging up another move.
"Athena stop!" She pleaded but then as he struck me again I was ready for it and countered his attack, then shot him with psybeam. He rolled backwards and then got up now looking furious "How dare you! I'll teach you! You no good murderer!"
"I didn't kill him! He did it to himself" I yelled out as he hit me with Iran tail.
I screeched but the pain only made me angrier. I lashed out at him with my claws and got him on the nose. Mystic got in the middle of us.
"STOP FIGHTING!" She screamed I suddenly felt ashamed so I obeyed cancelling the shadow that was forming but unfortunately, Athena did not.
He jumped at me and pinned me down. "This will show you not to mess with me!" Then another yell was heard. "Athena get off of her now!" He froze looking worried as Hollycloud stepped out from the trees. Looking mad "What's going on here?" Athena hissed. "Hollycloud these two we're wandering around outside the borders." Then he turned his purple gaze towards us both.
"Is that true?" I wanted to lie but Mystic was already confessing. "We were hunting it happened by accident... we're sorry."
He nodded. "Indeed I'll let that one slide I'm sure Arceus will forgive you but know that it is disrespectful towards Arthur. He got us this land and it is only right that we keep his tradition going on with full respect we don't travel outside."
I can't help but feel very irritated by that.
'Yes I get that we should honour Arceus but Arthur is long dead and gone. Why should we be forced to live in his pawsteps?
I frown as I catch a gimp of Mystic I know she feels the same way about the story. Athena hissed "Are You serious? They should be punished!" Hollycloud shook his head. "Athena you will go sit by the rock until Arceus has forgiven you for your sin. You know very well not to hurt others." Athena snarled shooting me with one last sharp glare before padding off with Hollycloud.
As me and Mystic head back I frown all I want is to just leave this place behind. But I already know how Mystic feels about it, she's terrified that they will come after us, plus she doesn't want to leave her family. As we arrived back in camp right away some of the female Espeons started to make fun of me.
"There she is the Giratina follower. Her mother was an Umbreon the darkness lays within"
Mystic hissed. "You guys don't even know her! Solarnia is not evil!" Harley curled his lip as he glared towards me. "You know when Apollo said he saw you in a vision he had. I thought he was going crazy but now I'm starting to realize Arceus may have been trying to warn him that you were going to be the cause of his death! I say we must avoid Solarnia at all costs she is indeed bad."
I sighed in defeat 'I guess no one here will ever accept me other than Mystic I guess this is my life now. Always gonna be blamed for things I never committed. Then as Mystic rubbed up against me I let out a soft purr thinking.
'With her by my side maybe this is all worth it! I love her and I'm never gonna let anything bad happen to her ever!
