Chapter 5: Cover up

LET'S make a little chit chat before we get down to business. According to Coulomb's law, like charges repel to each other and unlike charges attract. One negative charge and one positive charge forms attraction; two negatives repel.

I think this situation is a little more concerning than I thought. First, I am the negative charge here and this douchebag is the positive charge- but we aren't really attracted, instead, there is repulsion. First time ba na may magco-contrast sa isang French Engineer and a Physicist, Charles-Augustin de Coulomb?

I don't think so. It could be that Klaus's positive charge is a facade he flaunts all over the place, but deep inside that meat suit, he is a negative pole- makes sense why we repel. Hindi rin naman pwede na ako dahil simula bata, isa na akong dakilang masamang enerhiya.

Second, every second of being with him is a mess. Kudos to our same energy. Sa sobrang dami niyang baon, nagpapasalamat na lamang ako dahil hindi pa ako baliw.

Klaus is lively most of the time. He greets people- kasali na 'yong hindi niya kilala. He has this facade of being angelic, genuine, and innocent. Kaya siya gusto ng mga teachers sa school. Pero, marami siyang ginagawa na dahilan kung bakit siya na-de-detain. Ang problema lang, nakakalusot siya lagi dahil nga sa mukha niya.

Bukod sa nauuto niya ang lahat, matalino rin ang kumag. We had a laboratory experiment on our General Biology 2 the other day and the whole STEM class was amused that he distinguished the five phases of mitosis of plant cells at first glance.

After that, he received too many recognitions. Hindi na nga alam ng lahat kung alin ang totoong ugali ni Klaus. If I was asked that question, I'd say he is both. He loves playing, teasing people, flaunting his delicate features, and leaving everyone confused about who he is. Kahit nga ako nalilito din.

After that day happened at the motel with Steven, it has been seven days- a whole week since we met. Nang magising si Steven sa araw na iyon, binalik ni Klaus ang tanong.

Steven didn't say where he hid the hard disk, but Klaus made ways. Hindi naman na-torture si Steven ng todo. Klaus just made sure that everything goes to his plan.

That plan? Hindi ko alam. Aside from Klaus not letting Steven go without conditions, the rest of the negotiation was tackled between the two. Labas ako sa usapan, at ang dahilan? Because Klaus doesn't want me to get dragged in another commotion.

How convenient of him to think of my situation. Kakagaling ko lang sa isang suspension, at inisip niya na hindi muna daw ako sumama. I planned to oppose his idea, yet, there is one thing about Klaus that he doesn't show to anyone- I happen to know that.

Hindi ako mahilig sa Friday, pero Friday na naman ngayon. Hindi ko sinasadya 'yan, talagang sa mga araw na ito dyan lang may nangyayari.

"Miss Mikhailuv," ramdam ko ang panghihinayang ng guro ng magsalita ito pagkatapos niyang tingnan ang binigay ko na letter. "You are the best candidate in our club. I've been holding bow and arrow for like half of my life, pero ngayon po kasi graduating student po ako ng K-12, napag-isipan ko na oras na para 'yong mga juniors naman ang humawak sa olympic recurve bow na iiwan ko."

Ever since I was 6, my Father chose most of my hobbies today. He wants me to play piano, so he enrolled me in a piano class. He wants me to be good at arts and dance, so he enrolled me in different classes in that area.
