Arc 2 : Chapter 3 : Flaming Family Reunion

I smashed the ground and ice walls came out from the floor. Hopefully blocking at least some of his flames. Unfortunately my ice started melting after a few seconds of summoning it and we had a few seconds before we engage with Dabi in a face to face battle.

The ice melted and Dabi looked menacingly as possible. He wore a crooked smile and raised his open hand in the air. Blue flames were summoned on his palm and he threw the fireball towards our direction. I blocked it using my right arm that was covered in ice.

"Seems like you've grown stronger, Shoto. Normally it would take mere picoseconds before I break your ice using my flames." He wiped sweat from his chin. "A new record, right?" He smiled and threw another fireball at me. I blocked it using my own ice but the ice melted before the fireball was about to hit my arm.

I groaned in pain. His flames were too hot for me to handle.

"Touya, stop this right now." My dad stepped in. He raised his two arms in the air, and blocked my direction. "Before I incinerate you with my hell flame."

"GO AHEAD AND TRY THEN!" Dabi laughed and sent himself flying towards Endeavour.

Before he was able to punch my father's stomach, I raised an ice wall and Dabi smashed his fist onto the hard ice wall. I heard a bone crack from his direction. Probably his fist is broken.

"Seems like you predicted my attack." He looked down. He looked like he was not noticing the pain. Why wont he groan and moan in pain? Is he used to it?

DABI POV

"So, one question." Toga smiled playfully and swinged her legs back and forth on the porch we were sitting by.

"Yeah? What's that?" I asked.

"How could you deal with all the pain?" She smiled. "I mean I have nothing against it, but I am wondering why you won't groan or even moan in pain." She touched her chin using her pointing finger, it looked cute.

"I am used to pain." I stated. "Although I don't have tolerance to high temperature, I trained so hard just to get the approval of my father. Along with that, I got used to the pain I was experiencing whenever I train." I finished.

"So you're a masochist?" She smiled and looked intently at my face.

"You may say that."

After a few minutes of silence I then asked her about something.

"Hey, you have the remaining blood sample o-"

"Yes I have his blood sample, I am almost excited to experience his power finally!" She excitedly said.

I merely smiled and looked towards the horizon.

"Then the battle's on our side." I said.

"How would you say that?" She looked towards the direction I was looking.

"Because we have information of their current situation, and their current mission." I answered.

TODOROKI POV

"BUT THAT WONT STOP ME FROM KILLING YOU TWO!"  He screamed as loud as he can and ran straight towards me. Casting his blue flames separating me and my father.

"ENOUGH!" Endeavour shouted.

Both me and Dabi looked towards Endeavour, totally ignoring each other's presence.

"WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY OLD MAN?" Dabi laughed.

"This is between you and me. Always has been, and always will be. Do not rope my son into this." He stated.

"Oh he's involved alright." He gritted his teeth. "All you cared about was defeating All Might, and now that you're the number 1 hero, you plan to bring back the Todoroki Family back together again?"

"NO SHIT SHERLOCK!" He cried out loud.

"You're the reason why I have been doing this. Before I am obsessed to receive your approval! But now, I want you dead and those whom you love dead." He stated. "Including my brothers and sister." He looked towards me menacingly and raised his hand. He casted out flames from his left hand towards my direction.

I can't beat him using my ice, I need to use my flames.

I unleashed orange flames from my left arm and casted them towards Dabi's direction. Fire against fire, although may be destructive, this is the only way I can be of same caliber as Dabi's flames.

"Seems you've grown stronger in your flame side as well." He wore a crooked smile. "Oh well, time to raise my temperature."

His flames began emitting hotter temperature. I can't handle this much temperature, especially on my left side. I might burn!

"I am sorry." Endeavour said his final words to Dabi before shooting a full concussive fire blow to the chest.

Dabi flicked his head upwards and spewed liquid but not blood? He coughed up brown liquid and started to disintegrate into brown sludge.

"Wait, that was not the real Dabi?" I said.

"I suspected that he was just a mere fake, I didn't see his faint birthmark in one of his fingers." He said whilst pulling up his communication system.

"Everyone, we need to retreat right now. I repeat retreat right now. This may be a planned trap so don't go any further than you have already explored and exit the building." He stated into the comms.

"Come on, we should meet the rest outside of the building." We ran towards the exit of this corridor.

20 Minutes Ago...

IIDA POV

"It's so timidly quiet here." Kirishima stated as he turned to face me and walked backwards.

"Walk forwards idiot, you might trip or fall, or even not spot an enemy directly behind you." I told him.

"I know, I just want to look at people whenever I talk to them you know?" He placed his usual smile and looked forwards. With his hands still at the back of his head.

I rolled my eyes in disbelief.

I thought of how what my favorite little engineer could be doing right now. Could she be designing some new armor and gadgets for me to tryout? Since sometimes it breaks down and blows up in steam.

I sighed. I can't believe am with a girl as beautiful as her.

Back to reality, we entered the end of the corridor. A glass door opened towards a huge room. Some objects were covered in tarp, and some were covered in dust. I assume this is a Science Laboratory? If it were a Laboratory, why are there no flasks? No research machines? Seems awfully strange.

I entered the room along with Kirishima, but the aura and vibe started to change in the room. Uninviting air started to fill the room. With a cold dark aura seemingly coming from somewhere above. Then the entrance of the room closed.

Kirishima ran towards the door but it was seemingly blocked by a chair outside. Then we heard a voice come from above.

"It's nice seeing some visitors finally!" A sound of a villain.
