I'm escorted out to the VIP launch room where I wait impatiently to hear any news of Derek's health.

"Mr Scorpio?" Says a blonde haired nurse.

I stood up as I silently walk to her.

"Mr Lakewood is awake. He wishes to see you" she says with a reassuring smile.

"Is he ok?" I asked not looking at her.

"He's going to be ok Mr Scorpio. I'm Dr Warner. I operated on Mr Lakewood. He's all good now" she says looking at her checkboard with a bunch of papers on it.

"The....the tearing?" I asked.

"The bleeding has stopped. We managed to get him into an immediate sanitation because there was some male sperm particles found -just to be on the safe side of avoiding an unannounced/ uninvited pregnancy. I had it removed. The tearing is being treated. He's awake right now if you wish to see him?" She says and I leave thanking her.

I knock before I walked in. Derek is lying in bed sideways facing me.

"Hey" he smiles and tries to sit up when he winces in pain
Quickly rushing to him I laid him back on the bed.

"Don't move too much. Its not good for you. You're still healing " I said as my eyes never leave his face.

He smiles pulling me into a long kiss and I don't hesitate to let him dominate my lips over his tongue.
He scrunches his brows in confusion before he smirks.
I moan in more pleasure than pain as he bites down on my bottom lip.

I take over the kiss dominating his lips and his tongue as he follows my lead.
I'm about to squeeze his neck when I remind myself he's on the hospital bed and needs rest.

He pulls away looks at me.
"Thank you. For getting me out of there" he says and I look down guiltily.

"I wasn't there in time to stop it from happening " I say and a tear slips down my tattooed cheekbone.
His fingers are cold yet warm against my skin.

"But you came either way and you saved me. And for that? Thank you" he says and lifts up my chin,kisses my tears away.

"Its not your fault Vincenzo. You weren't the one who hurt me. You saved me from him. Thats all that matters" he says and I nod.

"But I'm sorry I wasn't there in time to stop it from happening" I said as I hear him sigh.

"I told you Vincenzo. Its ok- none of this is your fault. Thank you for saving my life" he says pecking my face everywhere and I look him straight in the eyes for a long moment.

How did I get so lucky?

Does he mean what he says

"I mean it" he says like he read my mind.
He pecks my cheek one more time pats the spot behind him.

"Are you sure?" I asked again as he nods.
I waste no time as I took off my black leather trench coat,getting in bed behind him being cautious to not put any pressure on him.
I put my arm over his waist line and he cuddles more into me that way.
I take in his scent before I feel myself dozing off.
