Gerard had been home for a couple of days now and was beginning to feel so much better. Frank had been amazing and had taken real care of him. He would make sure he had eaten properly and cleaned up all of his wounds before he left for class each day. Then he would return and check on his patient and tend to his every need.

Following his revelation on Gerard's first night back, the two had shared some pretty intense conversations, confiding in each other their actual feelings towards one another. Gerard admitted that he too was falling for Frank, and that he really wanted more than friendship from him. They had shared a few more incredible kisses and Frank had even spent an entire night cuddled up with Gerard in his bed. They were both falling fast and both yearned for more. But Gerard knew he would have to broach the subject of Jamia, sooner rather than later.

Frank returned later that day in a pissed off mood.

"What's wrong?" Gerard inquired.

"Fucking broke my phone didn't I" Frank huffed.

He'd dropped his phone at the top of the dorm stairs and it had bounced all the way down, shattering the screen to bits. He tossed it onto his bed muttering something about what a shitty day it had been.

"How are you?" he finally asked Gerard as he now sat on his bed taking off his shoes.

"Ok thanks. Got most of my work done so that's good."

"Mhm" Frank replied although Gerard could tell he wasn't really listening. He clearly had something on his mind.

Jamia was that thing on his mind. He'd been avoiding her calls for the last couple of days. That was the only positive he could take from smashing his phone, that he now had a genuine reason for not being able to talk to her. He would send her an email telling her he wouldn't be able to call and hopefully that would buy him some time to find a way to break things off with her, like he knew he had too. He hated the thought of hurting her though. She did mean a lot to him, but now he had Gerard, he realised that it was never a real relationship with her. It was just two lonely friends who hooked up and kind of got caught up in a relationship.

He shook himself free of his nagging thoughts and turned his attention to Gerard.

Gerard was up and about a little more now and was headed over to the kettle.

"You want instant noodles for dinner?" he chuckled as he called over to Frank.

"Yeah sure" Frank laughed. They ate fucking noodles practically every night, with the exception of Saturday's when they would treat themselves to a pizza.

Gerard brought the two bowls over and they sat on their respective beds facing each other and talking. After finishing up and Frank rinsing the dishes, he returned and sat on Gerard's bed checking over his wounds.

"Frank" Gerard scolded. "I'm fine. You don't have to keep fussing."

"I know" Frank replied. "Just wanted to see that everything is looking ok" he replied as he brushed his finger over Gerard's now healing bruises.

He leaned in and captured Gerard's lips in a quick kiss, before Gerard pulled away.

"Frank? Can I ask you something?" he questioned.

Frank nodded and looked at him expectantly, taking hold of his hand as he did.

"What's happening with Jamia?"

Frank gulped. He knew this conversation was coming. Of course it was.

"I broke up with her" he lied with ease.

"Oh" Gerard looked surprised. "You didn't say."

"Mhm" Frank replied scratching the back of his neck.

"And?" Gerard pushed.
