Fall in love with my best friends brother? CHECK
That's it. That's all I've got. I'm seriously stupid, how could this cliché happen to me. Kooper is my best friend, his older brother though? I have dreams of him.
I shouldn't like her.

Kieffer
(Fall 2021)
I drove Karver and I back to the Ranch so I could clean up before heading to Taylor's place. It has been a hell of a 72 hours. We had to burn so many fields so that we wouldn't have anymore harmed cattle. Which meant very little sleep while watching acres burn to bits.
"I can't believe you had a fuckin' kid with Taylor. Damn dude, who all knows?"
"Just you."
"What? Koop's gonna flip." Karver laughed. "I think everybody gonna flip. Shit, Beau, Mase, Hunt and Aust oh fuck, can I be there for all of it?"
"Fuck off Karver." I said laughing. "You really think Koop is gonna snap?" I had one hand on the wheel pulling into the Ranch.
"Fuck yea. That's his best friend."
"He's the one that told us we were gonna end up together." I reasoned.
"But his best friend hid a pregnancy and kid from him. Meanwhile his kid is about the same age. He's gonna be pissed for himself and for you that she hid that shit. Real damn well might I add. I woulda never guessed. I'm still in shock that y'all fucked though."
"Twice."
"What?" He spun to face me. "When else?!"
"Few years before."
"Bro...you've been in love with this girl for fuckin' ever. Had her, let her go, and had her again!?" I just shook my head trying to hide my smile as I pulled up to my house. "Seriously, happy for you." My phone started ringing so I dug it out of my pocket just to see Taylor's name and face pop up.
"Hey baby."
"Kieffer!" She was frantic and had been crying. I sat up straight Karver followed my action.
"What's wrong."
"He's on his way! He grabbed his gun and is on his way right now!"
"Who darlin'?"
"Grandaddy! He left in a hurry while I was tryin' to buckle Konnor in quick."
"Why is he on his way, and to where?"
"You. He knows. I told him. He wouldn't stop pesterin' me and givin' me a hard time about the truck, it just came out."
"It's alright darlin' I'll be waiting for him, go to yer apartment. I'll be there in a bit."
"Kieffer."
"Yea?"
"Be careful. He's unhinged." The worry in her voice was front and center.
"Get you and our boy back to your place, I'll see you soon." I hung up and shoved my phone back in my pocket before taking off down the driveway to get back to the main house.
