"What is it you want from me Shaun"I'm not to sure myself, I shouldn't want anything from you, I really shouldn't.
"I just want to talk and drive"
She continues to just stare at me, nothing is showing on her face, no curiosity, no nothing."You really don't need to do this, and I'm sorry that you have had to see me like that again, but I promise I'm not always like that. You don't need to pity, somehow you find me at my lowest and save me" I hear her rant on about that for a couple more seconds, but I can't help but smile from her saying that I've saved her.
"I don't pity you Lily, never have and never will." I say holding her face brushing away a few tears that had escaped, "now let's get in the car please so you don't catch a cold" I notice that her cheeks have gone slightly pink before she turns around and gets in, again I notice that I'm smiling like a teenage boy.
I have no clue why I'm in his car right now, I should have just left with everyone else. I don't even know where he is driving I know it's not to my house because I don't live far from the office, and I can't remember where his house was.
Yup I really shouldn't have gotten in his car.
"Why are you so quiet?" I hear him ask.
"Just thinking" he glances at me quickly "And what is it you are thinking about" I can't help but stare at his arms as they change gear and turn the wheel.
"Wether or not your going to kidnap me" his mouth turns into a grin and he pulls up to a building I don't recognise.
"Come one Lils if I was going to kidnap you I would have done it the first time I met you."
He gives me a cheeky smile before leaving the car and going to my side to open the door.Once I get out I look around to see if I recognise where he has taken me but it doesn't seem familiar.
"Where are we Shaun?" I ask but he just holds his hand out waiting for me to take it, we both look at each other whilst I move my hand into his, he gently squeezes my hand as we begin walking.
"Just trust me okay" I can hardly hear him with the music playing.
"I don't know you that well to trust you" it's true I don't have the best record at trusting people and I doubt it's going to start anytime now. "Well I'd like to change that. If you'd give me the chance to that is."
I don't say anything, instead I just continue to walk with him. The music starts dying down as we move further and further into this building.
I'm not going to lie but this place is giving me the creeps, the walks are painted red with dark wood railings, and the lights look dimmed. The floor is creaking after every step we make.
He stop us both at a door and at this point there is no sound apart from our breathing, the lights a near enough non existent.
"Shaun-" he cuts me up before I can even finish. "I want to show you this place, for any time you need to escape. Okay? Any time you feel stuck or surrounded, come here for me. You don't have to tell me that you are here this place can be for you if anything ever gets to much." He says this whilst holding my face in his hands again like he did in the parking lot, I notice his eyes still look blue even in this dark light but this time they look different, they look soft but worried at the same time.
"Okay..." I whisper quietly, he takes one last look at me face and turns to open the door for me to walk in.
I take a few steps in and my eyes go wide as I take in my surroundings, it's beautiful. The walls are a white colour with the same dark wood accents the hallway had. There are lights in every corner of the room, which shine brightly. The room is full of all different kinds of books, a huge sofa in the corner of the room with blankets and pillows covering it. I make my way further into this room and look at the window and the view is a river that has the best sunset every night.
I feel like crying, no I think I am crying.
I turn around quickly meeting Shaun's eyes, he looks scared.
"Sorry if this was too much, I-" this time I cut him off by running into his arms.
I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him down to my height so I can put my face in the crook of his neck. For a moment her stands there frozen, but after a few moments he relaxes and puts both his arms around my waist holding me tightly. We stay there for a while and this feels amazing, I feel safe with him and that's what I like the most.
But I shouldn't, he has a child and there are probably some feelings there still for his wife. My heart starts the beat faster as I start thinking more about how wrong this is, he's my boss as well.
I can't do this.
As if he notices, he lets go of me and looks at my face noticing that I'm no longer happy.
"What's wrong Lily" he says it so quickly as if he's panicking."Nothing- I should go home now." I begin walking slowly out of the room, not wondering off because I don't know the way back yet.
"Right, yes okay. Follow me" he walks ahead and I make sure to stay behind him
