Y/N POV:

"Y/N Y/L/N! Ms. Kim is ready to see you. Please come in?" The secretary told me and I nodded.

Once I entered the room my heart is pounding hard and beating fast because the room was quiet and the only sound that you will hear is the ticking of the clock. The editor-in-chief's chair is facing away from me. I was really nervous because this is the first time for me to meet the editor-in-chief most of the people outside told me to be brave and don't get intimidated immediately because Ms. Kim is scary as what they say. I breathe in and breathe out as I made my way to the chair in front of the editor-in-chief who I still can't see.

"Good luck!" The secretary said lowly while she usher me to my seat then went to the door and closed it.

"You nervous Ms. Y/L/N?" The editor-in-chief said still not looking at me but the voice seems to be familiar to me.

"A little bit, Ma'am" I said politely

"Ma'am?" She said making me nod but she still couldn't see me but she just chuckled, making my nervousness grew more "Since when did you call me Ma'am" She said making me frown then she turned her big chair and right there and then I saw her piercing cat eyes.

"J-Jennie" I mumbled, a surprise look was evident in my face

"Ms. Y/N Y/L/N" She said in straight face with eyes piercing into my brown ones "What brought you here in Vogue Korea, Ms. Y/L/N?" She said while eyeing me up and down quirking her eyebrow after.

I then cleared my throat and inhaled deeply again to answer her question calmy "I c-came here to find a job and I saw that you have an opening position for creative director" I stuttered a little

"Why Vogue Korea? Why South Korea?" She asked curiously still looking into my eyes.

"Because I want to have a fresh start and someone told me before that South Korea is a nice place to live in" I said having a courage to answer her quickly then it's her turn to clear her throat and look away from me looking at my resume.

"It says here that you previously work in Elle for only a year after graduation, what made you quit a job when you are already in one of the best publishing companies?" I nodded at her

"My father had a heart attack and heart transplant, he needs someone to take in charge in running the company so I resigned from Elle and took over the construction company for a while until my big brother took over which I'm happy about" she then just looked at me and changed her expression

"How is he?" she asked looking concern

"Dad is better than before but there are a lot of restrictions that made him go mad at times" I chuckled "Like everyday sex with Mom!" I gawked and she laughs at me "That's his words not mine!" I said which made us laugh more after the laughter died down she continued asking questions.

"What made you think that you can be my creative director?" She said with a tone that I always know

"Honestly speaking, my work experience doesn't give a justice on why I deserve to become your creative director compared to the people that are outside waiting for their turn, who has a lot of experience, working in different big companies but one thing is for sure is that I will work hard to be the creative director that you want me to be" I said looking directly into her eyes. "I may not be fit enough to the position but I know I can learn if you let me" I smiled

"How sure I am that you won't be living after I hire you?"

"Actually, I don't know the answer to that but one thing is for sure I'm not a quitter! the time that I only quit was because of my Dad's illness but that won't happen again because he is now in good condition and like I said earlier South Korea is my new home now, it's the last stop of finding myself and I want to keep it that way"
