Y/N'S POV:

After school, me and Jennie head to the mall to buy a dress for her.

"Y/N what do you think of Mino as my date?" Jennie asked as we make our way to her favorite shop.

"Is this for real? You are asking me on what I think of your crush?" I asked wondering at her she then just nods and smiled at me.

"Yeah! Why? Is there something wrong with that?" She asked quirking her eyebrows "You are my best friend after all so I need your approval" she said hugging my arm making me chuckle.

"Well, Mino is a nice guy he never bullied me unlike the other jocks that you dated" I said pointing it out to Jennie which made her smack my shoulder making me chuckle. "And I think he likes you very much" I said truthfully making her smile grew wider and blush after. "Well, enough talking about Mino. Let's go and pick your prom dress" I suggested making her nod.

We entered her favorite shop and I let Jennie looked at the dresses inside.

"Y/N, why don't you pick your suit as well" she suggested making me shake my head. "Why are you shaking your head? Do you have your suit already or Are you not going to the prom?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"Well, the thing is...." I started she then cross her arms looking directly at me stopping what she is doing making me gulp at her scary look. "I can't go to the prom" I said squeezing my eyes for me not to see Jennie's reaction.

"What!" She yelled at me making the people around us looked at us. "What do you mean your not coming?" She said looking angry at me.

"Jennie, calm down!" I said grabbing her shoulders but she removes my hand "Can you let me explain first?" I said making her roll her eyes at me.

She then walks out of the shop and I followed the angry kitty cat.

"Jennie..." I called out but she didn't budge and continue her walk "Jennie!" I called her name again she then turned her head looking at me in a few seconds then continued walking then entered a restaurant. I then followed her and sat beside her.

"Explain!" She said looking directly into my eyes.

"I cannot go because my Dad asked me to go to the party with him" I said sadly "Remember earlier? My Dad telling me to keep my promise?" I said and she nodded. "My promise is I will join him and Mom in the celebration of our companies founding anniversary. My cousins, and grandparents will be there so I need to be present and because I am the only child and the sole heir of their company" I explained "I need to support my parents and the family business, Jennie" I added holding her hands making her sigh.

"But how about prom?" She asked sadly. "How can we dance and enjoy prom together if you won't be going?" She reasoned making me smile.

"I can dance with you even without the prom" I said cockily making her chuckle

"But I want to dance with you during our prom night" she reasoned and pouted.

"I'm sorry" I said sadly and sighed again while looking down, not attempting to look into her eyes.

Then Jennie sighed also making me look at her showing my puppy eyes.

"Why do I love you so much baby bear?! that I cannot be mad at you for too long!" she huffs after making me giggle. "Why didn't you tell me this before?" She then pouted

"Because I don't know how to tell you"

"Baby it's so easy to tell me, you know I'm understanding!" She whined making me chuckle because of her pout "Next time, tell me immediately! so that I can come and join you in every party you're going rather than joining the prom without my best friend!" She added
