few hours before the wedding
This is so good to be true. I'm marrying my high school best friend. Well ..... this isn't exactly planned ... I mean ... when we were in high school, I never thought of marrying her for just VISA purposes .... but when I heard her dilemna ... I don't know but I don't have to think twice to say YES ... I was willing to sacrifice being SINGLE to help her. I don't know but there is something about Chekay that makes me want to always help her ... there's something in her that makes me want to always care for her. When we were in High School, she seemed to have a tough personality. But .... I know ... she's really fragile ... that's why I always looked after her ... I felt really bad when I had to migrate here. I was more afraid to leave her helpless without me than the fact that I'll start a new life in a new environment. But now .... I think ... me coming here first had a purpose ... If I didn't migrate here .... then who would help her? I think I was really destined to care and look after her.
"Excited, son?" Dad interrupted my thoughts.
I laughed,"Nervous is more like it, dad!"
"You really love Francheska, do you?"
Whoa .... Am I that good in acting? My father really thinks we're in love .... well it's true that I really care for her .... but .... LOVE??? .... romantically???? nah .....
"Dad, how can you say that? I mean .... how do you know I really love her ... well .... you know?" I asked.
"Well .... I see how you look at her..."
I laughed, "Why dad? How do I look at her?"
"It's the same way I look at your mom. I know it's love."
Nah ... I just care for her .... I really do ....
"Oh, natulala ka dyan anak ... don't worry, you'll see your bride soon ...."
