Chapter 16 - Friends .... with benefits?

It's Friday but I have to work late. I have to finish a certain project/design. Gusto ko na din tapusin so I don't have to work on the weekend.

I texted Cheska to eat dinner but she has to wait for me. I have to tell her that my mom's visiting tomorrow. Maaga pa naman yun pag pumupunta sa bahay. And she has a key to the main door of my house. She can't see that Cheska sleeps in the room downstairs. She has to sleep in my room.

I came home around 10:00 pm. Cheska was in the living room with her laptop on her lap and she seems like she's crying.

Bigla akong nagworry. Ano na naman kaya ang naalala nya? May nakita na namn ba syang nakapag pa alala ng family nya? May narinig na naman kaya sya? Hay this woman --- so fragile?

"Cheese ... What happened? Are you okay?" Sobrang nakakapag alala talaga itong babaeng ito.

"Si Sarah kasi ..." She said.

Huh? Who the hell is Sarah? I've never heard of her. Co-worker? Boss nya? Friend from the Philippines?

"Who's Sarah? What did she do to you?" I asked her. I'm really worried. Whoever that Sarah is, she has no right to make Cheska cry.

"at tsaka si Chuck ..." she said again, humihikbi hikbi pa sya.

Sino naman si Chuck? Baka mga ka work nya. Inaway kaya sya?

"Who are Chuck and Sarah? Did they do something bad to you? Did they hurt you? Why the hell did you not call me?"

*Sniff*Sniff* "Bakit kinalimutan lahat ni Sarah about Chuck?' dagdag pa nyang sabi.

What? I don't get it? What has she got to do about Sarah forgetting Chuck? Why is she crying? Who are they anyway?

"Chekay, I don't get it? Why are you really crying? Who are Chuck and Sarah? What did they do to you?"

Okay, sobrang kulit ko na ba? Kasi nga eh ... nag aalala na ako kay Cheska pero ang labo naman ng kwento nya.

**Sniff** **Sniff**

"Chekay .... I can't do anything to help you if you don't clearly tell me why you're crying." I said patiently.
