"Are you sure you're going to be okay here ... alone?" James asked.
I nodded.
"Really? Why don't you just call Joan ... Maybe she can stay here with you while I'm gone." Si James uli.
"Stop treating me like a baby, James. I could manage. I don't want to bother Joan. She has work, too." I said.
"I'll be gone for two weeks. You might get bored. And ...."
Di ko na pinatapos yung sasabihin nya ".... Don't worry James ... I won't do any thing stupid ... I won't set the house on fire or something ..."
"But Chekay, if the house is on fire ... just run out okay ... leave everything behind just save yourself, okay?"

He really thinks I could set the house on fire?

"Chekay, promise ... okay? Just run ... okay?"

"Okay, I will!" Nasabi ko nalang.
"I'll call you everyday. Call me if there's any problem, okay?"
Ako naman parang tangang nod lang ng nod.
Grabe! Para namang isang taon nya iiwanan sa akin 'tong bahay nya ... eh 2 weeks lang naman ... may 2 weeks training sya sa ...

"I think your taxi's here." I said. Bigla akong nakaramdam ng lungkot. Masyado na akong nasanay na asa tabi ko lang si James.
I think he noticed my facial experssion so bigla nya akong hinug and gave me a peck on my cheek. And whispered, "Promise me you'll run if the house is on fire, okay?"
Arrrggg! Hindi ako accident prone ano!
I gave him a faint smile.
He smiled back and waved before getting into the taxi.
"I'll call you as soon as I get there!" pahabol pa nyang sabi.
