Kousaka Honoka, a girl who attends Otonizaka Academy, finds out that her school is shutting down next week. After learning that school idols are popular, she ropes her two friends, Sonoda Umi and Minami Kotori to make a school idol group. They face obstacles as to finding out how an idol group works and with the student council president. They gain new members along the way, such as Tojo Nozomi, the vice president, Koizumi Hanayo, the closet idol fan, and Yazawa Nico, the super idol, and many more. The team decides to enter Love Live, a contest where only the best of the best compete. But the only problem is, they're at the very bottom of the charts.
Will Honoka's idol group be able to enter Love Live? Will they be able to stop their school from shutting down? Will they win Love Live?
