Takamichi Nanoha, a normal girl, goes to elementary school with her friends, Bannings Alisa and Tsuzukimura Suzuka. One day, she hears a voice crying out to her. She tries to find out where the voice comes from and finds a wounded ferret. This ferret turns to Nanoha for help to seal the jewel seeds. To do this, Nanoha receives a jewel named Raising Heart. As time goes on,she meets a girl that is also hunting for the jewel seed. The two clash for the jewel seed and the girl usually defeats Nanoha. Since in the day, Nanoha is a regular schoolgirl, she keeps her magic a secret from everyone that she knows.
