a quick exchange

You ran to Casita as fast as you could, the wind blowing in your face, pushing your long chocolate brown hair behind me. Just before you reached Casita, Mirabel stopped you.

"Hey!" you greet her.

You immediately start talking.

"Did you get any information on casita's cracks last night?" you question.

Just then, Mirabel disappeared, and in front of you stood Camilo.

"You too?" he asked with a smirk.

"I'm sorry Camilo, I need to go, so please stop blocking my way," you say firmly.

"Just... hear me out," he says sharply.

You give him a deadpanned look.

"Look at Casita, the magic is strong! I still have my powers, nothing's wrong. Everything's perfect!" he says with a grin.

There was that word.

Perfect.

Unfortunately for Camilo, he still hasn't figured out that nothing in this world is perfect.

It's the imperfections that make life so enjoyable.

But I digress...

"So, what're you're doing today?" Camilo asks.

"Nothing just was gonna go to casita to see Mirabel," you reply.

"Oh, I'm afraid she ran away last night," Camilo says sharply.

"What?!" you yell with the most confused look.

You ball up your fists in rage.

"I'm just kidding," Camilo says with his hands up in surrender.

"She's helping Luisa by the fields. Heard her powers are weakening or something." Camilo shrugs then turns to me.

This guy was unnecessarily extra.

"Anyway, I have to go..." you say slowly. You slowly back away, and once he is out of your sight, you run to the fields.

You just knew the magic was in danger.

These people are taking pride in the wrong things...
