You ran to the fields to see Mirabel.
Funnily enough, she was already running towards you.
"Hey, y/n!" she said out of breath.
"Hey!" you said with urgency.
"So, about the cracks..." you start.
"Luisa told me Bruno's tower had some good information on where he is now," Mirabel said while panting.
"Come on, let's go," she says quickly, then grabs your hand.
"Vamos, we can't let anyone see us!" she squeals and you run to match her pace of running. Both of you keep running over the field and into the town.
Once we reach the casita, you and Mirabel go to the tippy top of the casita, avoiding Alma and Isabella, we see Bruno's door, but the entryway was blocked because it was walled up with wood.
"What do we do-" you frantically whispered.
"Someone's gonna find us!!" you whisper yell.
"Shh! You're gonna get us caught! Calm down, I'm trying to figure out a way~" Mirabel whispered in response. You saw a hammer on the floor and picked it up.
"Maybe you could try this?" you whisper questioned.
"It's worth a shot!" she replied. She backed up and was ready to hit the door open when Antonio suddenly appeared.
"What are you doing?" Antonio asked.
"Just...playing a game!" You and Mirabel both said in unison.
He squinted his eyes at us and left shortly after.
"That was close," you whispered, once Antonio was out of earshot.
Mirabel finally breaks the wood, and we enter the door. The room has a big wall with an outline shaped like an hourglass, with sand rushing through. Mirabel touches the sand and examines the room.
"Casita," Mirabel starts.
"A little help?" she asks.
The tiles of casita start moving, signaling that they can't help her in Bruno's room because he has been exiled from the family.
"I need to do this," Mirabel announces.
"For you, for Abuela, maybe a little for me." she brings her voice down to a mumble.
Mirabel sighs loudly, takes a deep breath, and jumps.
"Mirabel?" you shout. No reply. You look down, then at the casita.
You close Bruno's door, then jump down.
"Pts!" you spit out the sand. Mirabel cleans her glasses and reads the sign, and starts walking. You follow her and examine the room.
"Hello, toucan!" Mirabel says in a perky tone.
"Looks like we're in this together-"
"Nope, he flew away immediately..." Mirabel sighed.
"Huh," you start.
"There is a hell of a lot of stairs here, maybe we should-" you suggest.
"Climb them!" Mirabel squeals.
"You say what-"
So an half hour later, both of you are walking up the stairs. Mirabel passes the time by humming songs that echo through the staircase. Being you, you make the poor decision of looking down.
I swear I almost fainted from that sight. But you just gulped and continued climbing.
"We've reached the top!" Mirabel announced in a gasp for air.
We start to celebrate until we see a gap between the staircase and Bruno's vision cave.
Mirabel and you groan in unison.
Suddenly, you find a rope attached to the staircase pole, grab it, and attempt to swing across.
"Hang on," you say firmly. Mirabel hugs me from behind and you start to swing.
"AGHHH!" "OH MY GOD, I'M GONNA DIE!!" Mirabel squeals excitedly. And I have to admit, she looked so cute being scared.
Just as we start, we've reached the other side of Bruno's tower, and we celebrate. Just then, a piece of the cliff breaks off and falls into the unknown...
You and Mirabel hurriedly rush into Bruno's vision cave and find little green shards scattered across the ground.
"This must be the vision.." Mirabel trailed off.
She starts collecting pieces of the vision and piecing them together, which each piecing, a crack starts to form in his cave. She pieces a few together and comes to a conclusion.
"y/n, look. We are in this vision!!" Mirabel squeals.
"But why?" you question.
"That's a good question... we still have yet to figure out," Mirabel replies.
Just then, the vision cave starts to crumble.
"Mirabel, come on, grab the visions!!" you yell.
You try your very hardest to push down the door but to no avail.
Sand starts to fall down from the roof, as well as rock crumbling down. You look over at Mirabel to see that she's done collecting the pieces and running over to you.
"PUSH!" you scream.
We grunt and push and yell and scream as the door finally busts open, and we are taken all the way down by the sand.
Once we leave Bruno's room you leave to go back to my house, but your mind keeps racing around one topic.
