"Agh," Y/N put a hand to the side of her head. She felt dizzy, like her brain had been thrown through a washing cycle made for bricks.
"Who's this?" A voice asked, the sound of a blaster firing up. Y/N tried to look up but everything was blurry.
"Uhhh—"
Keith's voice. Where were they? Had he just seen everything she had? What had happened anyways?
"Who are they!" The voice, feminine and firm demanded.
"Hold on!" Keith hollered. "It's okay! We just—"
Y/N's vision began to clear. A Gala was holding a blaster right in front of her face. They were in a new ship, certainly not the one they'd just been delivering supplies in.
Keith dropped to his knees in front of her, panic washing over his features. "How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Uh," Y/N focused. "Three."
"Okay, that's good," He brushed some of the hair out of her face. "You're going to be okay."
"Why am I seeing two Kosmos' then?" The girl asked, trying to narrow and then widen her eyes.
Keith turned in confusion to, without a doubt, be met with two space wolfs. "Okay, that's weird."
"Anyone want to explain what's going on?" A new voice piped up. A girl, an Altean, peeked up from behind the ships chair. "One second we were all flying to this castle of lions, there was a flash of light, and now there is a second space wolf and another person with us."
"So, who are you?" The blaster got closer to Y/N's face. Keith was too stunned to help her out.
"Ah, I'm Y/N." The girl cringed at how lacking in confidence she sounded. "I'm with Keith. You are?"
"Krolia. I'm Keith's mother." She said firmly.
"Okay, cool." Y/N felt like she was going to explode with anxiety. "Nice to meet you."
"W-how'd — the war is over?! It's been years since this happened! This is impossible!" Suddenly, Keith seemed to be back to reality after being lost in his head some time. He recognized Romelle immediately. He recognized the Altean cruiser. This was from during the war with Lotor when they first uncovered he was harvesting Alteans.
"You've been here before?" Krolia asked.
"Yeah, years ago!" Keith shot up to his feet. He then shook his head like he was trying to clear out some gunk from his hears. "Like I said, this isn't possible!"
"Maybe. Maybe not." Krolia finally lowered her blaster and Y/N let out a thankful breath. "You tried to pass through the quantum abyss again, didn't you?"
"Yeah, we did." Keith muttered. "There was a distress signal coming from the planet we first found Romelle. We went to check it out but got sucked into one of the gravity wells."
Y/N got up with shaky legs and tried to get a grip on reality. Okay...so, as it seemed, they'd gotten thrown back in time. Kosmo had been duplicated for some reason and Y/N was now part of this time line. At least they were all still together. Could be worse.
"I warned you those wells can alter time and space in ways that no one truly understands," Krolia scolded. "Now you're stuck here. There's no way to get back. At least you didn't get stretched out into nothingness."
"You know how the war ends." Y/N spoke up. "You can stop this early and save lives."
Keith looked to the girl, scanning her face for a moment longer than he realized he should have then looked to the others. "If everything else is the same, yeah. I could."
