The one thing Y/N never expected herself to wake to in this life was a bunch of screaming Olkari in her face. They weren't screaming in horror, just surprise. Probably because she'd just leapt up out of literal coma.
"Y/N? You are awake?" One of the Olkari asked.
The girl sat there in a haze for a moment, panting. Where was she? The last she remembered, some people from the Blade of Marmora were rescuing her from Honerva's ship. She remembered being sick...constantly fading in and out of consciesness. Her last solid memories were of being taken by Shiro and left with Honerva to be questioned. "Where am I?" She asked.
"You've been stationed on Olkarion nearly three years. We just had to flee the planet." One explained.
Taken aback, the girl forced herself to her feet. Though completely unstable, her will carried her to the closest window. Below her was Olkarion, torn to pieces. This had to be the works of one of the robeasts Keith had talked about. That meant....that meant they were nearly at the end of the war and things were still going down the exact same path they once had. Despite everything Honerva had been able to retrieve from Y/N, everything was the same. It didn't really make sense.
Y/N turned away from the dying planet with remorse. Olkarion wasn't saved. That meant all of those other planets and people out there who had been lost in the first war had suffered the same fate. Their hopes for saving all of those lives at the chance to return to this timeline were now down in the gutters. "Three years?" Where's Voltron?"
A couple of the Olkari exchanged nervous glances. "We don't know. They've been missing nearly as long as you've been sleeping."
Y/N sat back down and let her head fall into her hands. She needed to figure out a plan. She was the one factor that could change things since Keith was seemingly trapped in the same timeline, making all the same decisions. "Wait—" Y/N's head flew up. "We need to get to Earth. Voltron will be there soon and we can meet them there."
"How do you know that? How can you be certain Voltron will be there?" The Olkari nearest to her asked. "We understand what happened in the quantum abyss, according to the Blade. But how do you know Voltron will be on Earth for certain?"
Y/N let out a weak sigh. "I don't. But what I do know is that everything has played out the exact same up until this point and I have reason to believe it's going to continue on that path."
"We will set course for Earth. We believe in you." A hand gently touched her arm.
"First though, we need to make a stop." Y/N said.
She knew exactly what had to be done. There was one thing that could change all of this. Was it a foolproof plan? No. Was it guaranteed to work? Absolutely not. But she knew that without it, team Voltron was going to perish in whatever twisted plan Honerva had cooked up. Everything was playing out the same as the first time the war happened because she was planning something for the very end. Y/N didn't like this sort of silence before the storm.
It took a while, but Y/N recognized the planet she was looking for when it came into view. It was just as she remembered. Luckily, no robeast had come to decimate and steal the quintessence from this planet. At least, not yet.
"That's the one. All I need is a little time." Y/N tugged a bag over her shoulders and winced. Her body still ached with every movement she made. Little dark tendrils climbed all around her limbs. It had been the lasting result of Honerva's magic. It was like the kind of scar people get after being stuck by lightning. "When I get back, I'll need some help creating a serum. Do we have the resources for that?"
"Yes, of course. We will be happy to help." One of the Olkari Y/N had grown to become good friends with nod. "Be safe."
"I'll try," Y/N sighed.
