"You never struck me as the 'wine and dine' type," Taehyung chuckled, stroking the red tablecloth under his fingertips.
Jungkook put down his salad fork and laughed as the candles on the table cast dancing shadows over his handsome features.
"I haven't always been," he admitted, reaching his hand across the table to stroke Taehyung's. "Though, someday, I'd love to take you out to a real restaurant."
"Maybe then I wouldn't have to worry about you burning the entire dorm down!" Yoongi yelled from his bed, where he had been coerced into studying.
"Yeah, maybe this is a bad idea," Taehyung slowly suggested, motioning to the cardboard box the candle sat atop. "It's very romantic," he quickly assured, "but I'd rather this not be our last first date."
Jungkook leaned over and blew the candle out, a smile growing across his cheeks. "I can take you out again?"
Taehyung felt his heart flutter simultaneously, a heat spread over his wrist and up to his arm. "If you'd like," he whispered.
"I'd like you two to get a room!" Yoongi shouted, stopping the two from sharing a kiss.
"I tried that!" Jungkook shouted back, "But you insisted that you couldn't go to the study hall, or the library, or the coffee shop, or virtually any place on campus!"
Yoongi sat upright and swung his legs over the bedside. "You know I can't leave this room," he whined, "I can't risk running into him."
Taehyung frowned, "Who?"
"Hobi," Jungkook stated, crossing his arms. "Yoongi is afraid to break up with him."
Taehyung's eyes widened as Yoongi began to protest, "I am not afraid to break up with him."
"Yes, you are," Jungkook argued. "You're afraid that Hobi is your soulmate, which, in that case, you'd want to work things out and stay with him."
"No!" Yoongi snapped back. "Well, yes, but also," he toed the ground, "I don't want to hurt him and cause unnecessary drama, that's all."
Taehyung opened his mouth before he even thought his words through. "Don't you think staying with him longer will hurt him even more in the long run?"
Jungkook and Yoongi stared uncomfortably at him as Taehyung felt his own words sink in.
