Even if there wasn't gravity on Earth, I'd still fall for you.

Taehyung was studying peacefully at his dorm room desk when his roommate quietly entered the room and slid onto his lap.
"Jimin," Taehyung said with a laugh as his best friend curled up in his lap with a giggle, "I was doing homework."
"I know, but I decided to pop in and say 'hi' before dance class," Jimin responded, resting his head comfortably in the crook of Taehyung's neck, "what are you working on?"
"Well I was writing a report on superstitions for my humanities class, but I guess now I'm spending time with you," Taehyung left a small kiss on his best friend's forehead. Jimin smiled and leaned up to peck Taehyung's lips, but met his cheek instead. He looked at Taehyung with a hurt expression, Taehyung had a guilty expression on his face.
"I'm sorry," Jimin whispered, sliding out of his lap, "I know you want to take things slow, I don't mean to push you."
Taehyung smiled gratefully, but still felt guilty. The chances of them not being soulmates felt one in a million, but it was that one percent chance that kept nagging in the back of his mind. The what if...
"How is this class going, by the way," Jimin asked, his eyes focused on Taehyung's laptop screen as he mindlessly read through the report, "isn't humanities the one you have with Jungkook?"
Taehyung nodded, "It is, but I haven't talked to him since I first ran into him a week ago."
Jimin hummed in thoughtfulness, "That's good. Hey, are there actually people who believe this stuff?" he waved a hand carelessly in front of the screen.
Taehyung shrugged, "I guess so. I think deep down we're all a little superstitious," he thought for a moment before cautiously saying, "apparently if you sit in between two people with the same name you can make a wish and it will come true."
Jimin responded with a chuckle, "How silly."
"Yeah," Taehyung continued, "but don't you think that's an interesting thought? I mean, I think sometimes we forget that people share names," he let out a forced laugh, "wouldn't it be funny if the Jimin on my wrist and the Taehyung on your wrist belonged to someone else?"
Jimin turned slowly, a small frown on his face, "I don't think that would be funny," he whispered, "or likely. Remember what we learned back in high school?" He walked forward and grabbed Taehyung's hands, "The likelihood of two people sharing each other's name and not being soulmates is a mere 23%." Jimin stood up and walked to the door with a smile, "I'm just glad we found each other so young, some people aren't as lucky." He blew a kiss before exiting the dorm room.
Taehyung slumped back in his chair with a frown, okay so that didn't go as well as he had hoped. Jimin was right though, he most likely was his soulmate, so why couldn't he accept that?
