Since I was a kid I've never got rid
Of those dreams, that never quit
They throw me back into that pit
Only you've been able to get lit
I know I'd never fit
All those rock bottoms I hit
Too much liquid, all this shit I did
I never was able to commit
Tonight I dreamed you said it
All those things I'd never admit
Never processed or got out off my chest
Thin line between blessed and possessed
Tonight I dreamed you confessed
All those things we never addressed
Words set free, we couldn't flee
Seal and key to death and destiny
Tonight I dreamed you left me
But, of course, that can't be
You woud never leave me, right?
We wouldn't part even if we tried
Tonight I dreamed you died
With a smile so wide, eyes so bright
A delusion that must be wrong
'Cause with me is where you belong
Tonight I dreamed you were gone
And without you I had to carry on
Nothing stayed but your tattoo
Don't make me lose you too
Tonight I dreamed I lost you
Tell me that is not true
Impossible even the thought to bear
Yet I sense the rearing dread, so clear
Tonight I dreamed of my biggest fear
And beheld your falling tear
Paralyzed, all I did was stare
Saw nothing death would spare
But the day is near
And you'll stand here
Watching over me
I will see
You will be there
It's just a nightmare
Don't you dare
To leave me in despair
If you really care
You won't rip my soul so bare
You'll once again grip me tight
And raise me from what I hide
I sink deeper down, have mercy
Don't let me drown in this dark sea
Despite it might be a bad dream, no reality
I can't escape this plight, like infinity
I can't wake up, I tried
I am stuck in this sight
An abyss I can't ignite
Please make this pain subside
It's like I saw how you cried
Surrendering to the tide
How your life you traded
Into the Empty you faded
This isn't real, this isn't right
None of this did ever betide
What am I supposed to do?
This is too bad to be true
If you didn't get through and hope lied
I would have been torn and died inside
If darkness flooded over you
It would have gotten me too
I loose the fight
There is no light
Without you by my side
Lost in the night
