Earlier that day...
A giant winged beast circled the mouth of the waterfall, blue scales gleaming in the sunlight, covered in deadly spines.
"Dragon sentry," mouthed a Viking, "but I don't think it has spotted us yet."
"Captain, deploy the scout raft. The rest of you follow us when the sentry leaves." commanded a cloaked figure. "Make sure the map is secure, without it we will never find our way back through the mist."
"Yes sir!" replied the Vikings.
...
"Stormheart will be pleased," stated the cloaked figure, "find the egg and in a month's time we will be back with the fleet."
...
Meanwhile...
The Night Lights had seen the humans in the egg chamber. The armoured one was stealing eggs and the cloaked one seemed to be looking for something else. Dart was about to dart forward and stop them but she was pulled back with a muffled shriek. Whipping around angrily, she faced Ruffrunner and Pouncer.
"What were you thinking going out there yourself, we need to get help!" yelled Pouncer.
"We can easily take those puny humans!" replied Dart, "It's three against two!"
"Have you happened to notice that we're the smallest dragons around?" said Ruffrunner.
"Yes but we have fire and claws! We only have to hold them off until the caretakers get back from their fishing trips. Come on guys, this is our chance to be heroes like our parents!" argued Dart.
"Fine," said Ruffrunner, "but we need a plan."
Dart looked at her two brothers, "I may have some ideas," she said, a cheeky smile creeping across her face.
