The plane ride to the next city was quieter than I expected it to be. Axl avoided me mostly and no one seemed to be in the mood to stir up trouble. I sat by myself on the plane. I had stretched out my legs across all three seats, my legs aching from my decision to wear ripped jeans. I flexed my booted feet and softly hummed a random tune. "Slash!" Duff called out. Duff, Izzy and Steven had decided to sit in the way back of the plane while Axl and I chose a seat closer to the front. Our managers and roadies had sat around us. I sit up and try my best to look over the seat. "C'mere! We're figuring out hotel room buddies." Duff says, waving his arms at me. I roll my eyes and slowly walk down the aisle to the back where everyone else sits. Axl, who was already back there, looked up at me and smiled smally. I sat beside Duff and waited for him to speak. "Ok, so who wants to share a room with who? Alan says we have two rooms so there'll be a group of two and three." Duff says, tucking a strand of his blonde hair behind his ear. I look at Axl, who avoids my gaze. "I'll stay with Ax." Izzy says, touching Axl's arm gently. Great.
Duff nods his head, Axl still refusing to look at me. "Great. Alright Slashie and Steven. We're sharing a room." Duff says, smiling. Steven smiles, tiredly stretching his arms and legs up in the air. I stand up and go back to my seat, pissed off but sad. I closed my eyes and fell asleep, sleeping through the rest of the plane ride.

We arrive at the hotel, all of us grumbly getting out of the limo. A pile of smoke puffed out of the car as we waited for our bags. Izzy whispers something to Axl, who looks up at me. He shakes his head no and whispers something back to Izzy. I could feel my face burn up. What was his problem? Izzy shoves Axl forward, as he stumbles to me. "Hi." he mumbles, looking down at his feet. "Hi?" I respond, looking up at Izzy, who raises his eyebrow at me. "What do you want, Ax?" I ask, looking down at the small redhead. He finally looks up at me, his face almost expressionless. "Izzy told me to come and say hi. He's worried or some shit." Axl mumbles, lifting up the sleeve of his jean jacket up over his shoulder. "Well hi? Is everything alright? You seem to be avoiding me." I say, crossing my arms across my chest. Axl opens his mouth to speak but Alan's taxi pulls up. "Alright boys. Let's head in."
Axl glances at me and walks back to Izzy.
Some bullshit.

We get into our hotel rooms, Steven and Duff excitedly talking about how many girls they'll bring back to the hotel. I find a room and set my stuff down, crawling into bed. I hide under the covers, scrunching my body together. Why did I always end up in this position? Why was I the one getting hurt? I liked Axl, there was no denying it anymore. I was just sick of getting hurt. Sure I wanted Axl, but if it meant always feeling this, I didn't want it. A part of me almost wished nothing had ever happened. I wished I never figured out I had feelings for Axl. I didn't know who I was or who I loved anymore. I had lost myself. Maybe this was for the best. I could move on and focus on something more important. Like the band. But Axl was in the band.
I could live with that. Axl was my best friend and I loved him dearly. Maybe I just needed time. Time to find myself again.
"Slash? Hey, we're ordering pizza. You want anything?" Steven calls out, his footsteps nearing my room. I smile softly. "Yeah. Just get bacon on it. None of that nasty shit you and Duff like." I say, sitting up in bed. Time. I just needed time.
