🖤It's not that the world doesn't have positivity. It's just that negativity makes more noise.🖤

You walked through your front door with your dog by your side. You just got finished walking and feeding them.

The only thing you wanted to do was be alone and be by yourself. You kept thinking about earlier the small altercation that happened between you and your partner. You didn't like it. You didn't like it one bit.

"You're leaving? But you promised that you would stay..." You said, hurt.

He avoided looking at you and looked down at his phone screen to check the time.

"There was a change in plans. I have to handle some things at the office-"

"No. Ray, you said that you'd stay with me today," you said taking a couple of steps to him.

Before you could get to him he turned his back towards you.

"I'm sorry, Y/n. But this can wait. I have more important things to do." He walked up to the coat rack and grabbed his jacket and placed it onto his body. His keys were stuffed inside of his pants pocket along with his phone.

You were hurt by his words. How could he say that? What does that even mean?

"So am I not important? This is more important than me?" You asked starring at the back of his head as he stood before the door.

He looked down at the floor and sighed.

"I'll make it up to you later. I don't have time for this right now," and with that, he left.

Thinking about things like this always made you sick to your stomach. But once again, you understood that he was running a business and that he needed to be on the top of the pyramid to stay in business. But it's how he just brushed you off that made you feel bad.

"Here. Go back inside now," you said sweetly to your pet. You ushered them to go inside the living room and away from going inside the kitchen. You removed your headphones from your ears and placed them inside of your purse. You spent the whole time listening to music as you were walking, most likely burning your battery.

You'll charge it later.

You went to the refrigerator and fixed yourself something to drink to get rid of the dry feeling that was in your throat. That wasn't a good feeling which is why you wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible. The cool liquid of your selected beverage ran down your throat, hydrating you and making you feel more refreshed than you were before.

No Ray.

He wasn't here yet.

You had a lot of space inside of this house for more than one person but you couldn't help that the house was only for you to stay in. It was so quiet that you can hear your footsteps echo out throughout the house.
