The baby blue sky was now turned into a vibrant fuchsia pink color, blended in with orange and yellow as the sun sat in the middle of the sky. Ready to say it sees you laters and take its well-needed rest for the next day. You heard faint chirping from birds that flew high in the skies and flew past your windows to land on the tree branches nearby.

If you could, you'd sleep in longer to rest your body, but one specific location wouldn't allow you to. Your stomach growled lowly, causing you to grab onto your stomach and clench your eyes together. Your eyes were again opened to reality, and to your disliking, what happened today wasn't a dream.

You're still inside the hotel room along with Ray, and there hasn't been a change in anything. Besides the fact that he was lying beside sleeping while lying on his back. His hands were resting on the lower part of his abdomen as he held them together. His hook nose was raised high, and his eyebrows were scrunched together, showing his tension and stress.

Good.

He should be that way because he placed you in this situation. You sat up in the bed and pressed your back against the headboard. You looked over towards him and hit him against his arm causing his eyes to snap in annoyance.

"I'm hungry," you mumbled.

"I am too, sweetheart," he says, slightly irritated. "We'll have to wait... It shouldn't be long until Norman sends someone to bring us food."

Just on cue, a couple of soft knocks can be heard on the door. You and Ray's eyes darted towards the entrance with cautious looks. The tall male cautiously approached the door and looked through the peephole before looking at you with a relaxed expression. He straightened his posture and opened the door slightly to reveal a woman.

One that you haven't seen in a while.

"Emma?"

"I brought food," she said, stepping inside with Norman accompanied by her side. The food was placed on the table as you and Ray ate. A box of pizza, something that was quick, simple, and cheap.

"We've brought more, but that's for later. It's in the car," Norman admits as he watches you and Ray chew on the hot food between your teeth. You lifted your face from the information and gave him a questioning look.

"Why did you leave it in the car?"

He sat up and rested his elbows on his knees to look at you clearly before speaking. "Because you two are leaving here. We can't risk you being out in the public eye... even if you've already far from home. These people are dangerous, and they've already gotten proximity to you before. I'm sure they can do it again, and they probably have eyes around here."

"Sounds like a plan," Ray said, finishing his pizza.

"What? Just like that," you asked in disbelief. This is draining you, and you're getting tired of all this movement, hiding, crying, and disagreements. You just settled in, and you had to deal with Ray's adult tantrums because he was annoyed and frustrated by the consequences of his actions.
