🖤Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.🖤
A couple of weeks ago
"Hey, Krone," you said as you approached her, smiling. This was the day you went to see the sweet mother and her adolescent daughter. You haven't seen her in a long while. You tempered Ray stating that the soft-hearted woman wanted to see you, but every time you wanted to, something would pop up.
When you noticed that your schedule was looking more generous, you took the opportunity to visit her. So, you'd arrived at her noble home. With a bag in your hands, you stroll around her vast garden.
You wanted to bring her a bag of cookies. A minor kind action to return what she used to do for you. You figured this would bring a smile to her face, and if she wanted to, she could share with her husband and daughter.
Just a few minutes earlier, you were knocking on her door a couple of times, wondering where she could be. You knew that she was home because her familiar vehicle was parked in her driveway and another person's car, figuring that it was her husband.
Well, if they were here. Then where were they?
Eventually, the husband showed up, inviting you inside with a pleasant aura around him. You found the family very simple yet very intriguing. Generous, humble, and very welcoming.
You weren't sure what made you want to visit them, but you enjoyed the different scenery and getting away from what was happening in your life. A familiar face. Someone who wasn't involved in the chaos. Someone is a peaceful being whose words can bring you a sense of feeling.
"I'm sorry that I came here unannounced," you said as you walked over to her with an apologetic smile. "I didn't mean to do so. I just wanted to pay you a quick visit."
The kind woman shook her head gently and waved her hand as she scooted over on the white marble bench before a large fountain in the middle of a lake.
"No, Y/n. That's nonsense," she said, shaking her head while pursuing her lips. She continued to tap down onto the empty spot beside her and ushered you to sit beside her. "It's been a little boring since the last time I've seen you. I haven't gotten the chance to fix you any meals like I wanted to."
You left from working beneath Ray, saying that now you were together, you wanted to start something of your own and, in a sense, find your independence. You didn't want to be looked at as weirdest by your coworkers, and you were annoyed that many would create rumors and gossip about you.
That was something you didn't have the time for, nor did you want to pay any mind to.
You eventually talked to Ray about it, and he supported your decisions. So, you left.
"So, how've you been, hun?"
You held your hands in the center of your lap and stared at the ducklings that floated across the pond's water with a frown on your face.
