Her eyes were like the ocean, sparkly blue with a light tint of gray. Her hair was a milky brown and she always wore the most adorable clothes. Her style always changed based on her mood. Who am I? Her soon-to-be-boyfriend. That would be true if I could actually talk to her. Yet, I was still sitting at the same café table working on my homework while the princess of the town was getting flirted on. I rolled my eyes and looked back at the writing assignment I had been given. It was blank. Sighing I made an attempt to reread the question and try to figure out what I was even supposed to be doing.
No matter how hard I tried my mind always wandered back to her. We went to the same school. She was a year older which didn't help my case since she would be leaving for college soon enough. My mind was clouded with thoughts and possibilities flooding every inch. I took a sip of my drink and groaned after the sound that reminded me it was finished and I would either have to get another one or just leave it. I took to the second option considering how broke I am. My eyes seemingly controlled themselves as they rolled back over to Lexi Pate. She was wearing this pink dress that went up to her knees. It was rolled up at the bottoms and had strawberries plastered all over it creating a happy atmosphere everywhere she went. Her bright sun-like smile helped pull it all together. The cherry on top was her headband that matched her outfit; baby pink with strawberries. Even her nails complimented her outfit. I had never seen her get mad or even disappointed in anybody. She had always kept a smile that made you wonder how she could do it every day even though she always said, "I think this world needs more Happiness, not more gloom!" with her cute laugh. It was as if the second she walked into a room smiles and laughter came with her.
I peeled my eyes away from her and shut off my still blank laptop. Just a title would suffice. Shoving it in my bag, I tossed it over my shoulder and looked over my shoulder at the growing group surrounding Pate, and left one last time.
