The first half of the day was almost perfect, no distractions, everything was bland. Most people wouldn't say something like that was perfect but as long as nothing bad had happened then everything was okay. By the time P.E. had rolled around I had a huge grin on my face and felt social enough to get along with my classmates. There was a person I had rarely seen around before, he had dark hair and light eyes with freckles lining his cheeks and nose. I've maybe seen him three times in the whole school year. I was taking a bit longer than usual in the locker room and most people had left. It was the last class of today.

I finished getting ready before going to the door and jiggling the door knob. I almost froze up when I realized the door was jammed. I twisted it again and it still did nothing. I banged on the door which didn't move. I didn't want to break school property but I had also realized I left my phone in my locker. I turned my head around to see one other person with me. It was the one kid who was never around. I tried the door again and it just rattled. There was something in front of it? I knocked on the door,"Hey- is anybody out there?" Only a snicker responded to me. I groaned. "Let us ut please." The sound of footsteps faded as I banged on the door. Somebody would find us? Whatever was blocking the door was obviously pretty heavy. I looked around for something we could use and the other person finally spoke. "They've done this before its better to just wait it out." y eyes wandered over to him. He was a bit smaller than me and he had this dull depression as he sat down on one of the benches. My face must have looked confused because I truly was.

I banged on the door again and noticed something odd. Everybody who wasn't there had taken their bags to class already which means they all knew about it and nobody would be back to open the door. I finally sat down on the bench annoyed. I looked over at the guy, "What's your name?" He responded, "Mason. You?" I responded and looked away awkwardly taking out my phone. I scrolled for a good minute before putting it back in my pocket.

"Well if we are going to be stuck here together we might as well get along."

Mason nodded his head.

"Sure."

"Why have I never seen you around before?"

"I go to my fathers house most of the time so I go to different schools." He responded a little more quickly than most people would though I shrugged it off.

"I see, well what do you do for fun?"

"I like to go shopping with friends and I play a few instruments."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, Piano, Viola, a few more."

We continued our conversation then ended up joking around and before you knew it we were finally let out of the locker room. I was happy to be out but slightly disappointed that we had to go our separate ways. He was a stubborn person and didn't really talk much. I did like him though as he was fairly nice and wasn't an absolute douche about everything or anything I talked about. I pulled out my phone and sent a quick message to Lexi.

Sammy:

Hey Lexi, are you feeling better?

I got no response until I arrived at my house which took around twenty minutes.

Lexi:

Oh yes! Thank you for asking.

My heart fluttered when my phone buzzed for that simple text.

Sammy:

How was your day?

Lexi:

Mostly uneventful just watched a couple shows, you?

Sammy:

Same here-

Other than instead of watching shows I just listened to lectures-

Lexi:

Sounds boring Xb

Our texting continued throughout the rest of the night even during dinner when my parents weren't looking. Needless to say I might have been a bit obsessed with texting her. She finally went to sleep as I started working on my homework. I know I shouldn't be putting it off but this was my chance to finally get to know her better.
