I couldn't stop my legs from going. The rain tapped on my drenched shirt. My feet pounding on the ground with each step making droplets of water scatter.

A beep rang through the air as I ran passed a car trying to back out. My chest screamed for air. I rounded the corner flagging down Mason who was driving without a care in the world. At this rate, I was going to lose him. I looked forward and saw a stoplight that was green. By the time we would get there it would turn red. I kept running. My heart pounding in my chest I felt as if it was going to explode. My min ran like cogwheels and finally, the light turned red just as we got to it.

I passed a car and ran in front of Mason, then to his door and knocked on it. He rolled down the window slightly.

"Sammy, what the fuck are you doing?"

I panted. "Open- open the door"

He opened the door slightly. "Why?"

I pulled it open. Grabbing his face I pressed our lips together. I loved him. Not her.
