Chapter 9: Double Trouble

"Sarah!? Are you done? You've been dressing up for like 30 minutes already!" Lily yelled as she's waiting for Sarah to get down.

*Knocks on the door*

"Lily! Will you please get the door?!" Sarah yelled as she removed the 5th set of clothing she tried on this morning.

Something that looks decent, yet not formal. She thought to herself as she looked at her wardrobe and checks all of her clothes.

Finally! Something stylish that is not that formal and that would make me look sorta kinda smart. Sarah grabbed her Isabel Marant Print Cappy Blouse in Black, her white jeans and her Madewell Charley Booties

Whilst downstairs Lily sighed, and stood from the couch and get the door

"SARA---"

Lily's eyes widened as she saw a 6 ft tall attractive man and a beautiful woman in front of her.

"Who are you?" the woman in with brown hair and similar eyes like Sarah's asked.

Omg. Am I facing her parents right now? Lily felt her knees shaking, as she tries to speak a word.

"I.... I am Lily Rabe.... Sarah's---" but before she could even finish what she's saying she heard footsteps from the small stairs just behind her as Sarah yelled

"Girlfriend!" Sarah went behind her, she felt the brunette's hand on her shoulder; she looked back and saw Sarah with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Her father smirked "Zachary told us everything don't---"

"I just knew about the plan I didn't expect that she's her girlfriend now! When did he gave you the details?!" her mother gave Sarah's father a glare

"Odd couple right?" Sarah whispered to the blonde's ear as the two continues to argue playfully.

"Mom, Dad. Please go in" Sarah sighed as her parents entered the studio type apartment; her mother quickly inspected Lily from bottom to top.

"Mom... That's awkward." Sarah scratched her head as her mother grinned at her.

"You're as sharp as your father when it comes to things like choosing girls." Her mother teased.

"Mom! You're embarrassing me!" Sarah flushed as Lily giggled.

"So? Mom, Dad? Why are you here? Zach didn't tell me you'd come." Sarah said as she held Lily's hand and they sat together on the couch facing her parents.

"They look cute together hon." Her father said as she observed the two on the sofa.

"Yeah" her mother responded as she gave a quick peck on her husband

"MOM! DAD!" Sarah immediately covered Lily's eyes as the blonde giggled; she likes how easy going Sarah's parents are. She places her hand on Sarah's hand that is covering her eyes and slowly put it down.

"Mom Dad... Please answer the question."

"Oh... Right. We're here to have a business meeting... around 9:30 we decided to drop by and check you out, and it seems like you're doing PRETTY well, so the two of you are having a date I presume?" Sarah's father looked at the two wearing casual yet decent clothing; that was unusual for Sarah who always wears her t-shirts and plain blue jeans.

"I guess so??" Sarah said nervously as she's once again reminded that she's gonna meet Lily's parents.

"Anyway, honey. Your father and I will stay here for the night if it's okay with you?" Her mother said.

So I guess I'm sleeping in the couch later... but I can't say no in front of Lily; these guys... they have tons of money yet they're so frugal hmmm, but I guess there's something more to just sleeping here.

"Yea, sure mom! No problemoo!" Sarah said as her parents smiled at her and took their belongings in.

Holy crap my apartment looks like a warehouse now.

"Lovepants?" Lily whispered as she saw Sarah's face dropped as her parents takes in 2 big suitcases and 2 cargo boxes.

"Yes?" Sarah snapped out of her mental shock and looked at her girlfriend who's smiling at her.

"I like your parents." She said gently as she looked at Sarah's parents helping each other in moving the boxes in, they were happy; and Lily wanted something like that too.

"Oh we like you too sweetie" Sarah's mother said. Lily's eyes widened; she was sure that she said that in a low audible voice.

"In case you are wondering mom's got this crazy hearing skills" Sarah giggled

After her parents moved everything inside; her parents waved them good bye and gently close the doors.

The two looked at the time and it was still 8:45am

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" Sarah asked turning her head to her girlfriend.

Sarah stood up and went to the kitchen; she grabbed two greek yogurts in the refrigerator and took 2 spoons from the kitchen drawer; she then went back to the couch and offered Lily the yogurt.

"Thank you" Lily accepts it after eating Lily and Sarah put the empty container down in the coffee table Sarah laid her back on the couch as Lily wrapped her arms around Sarah's waist and rest her head on the brunette's chest.

While caressing the blonde's hair, Sarah spoke "Do you think your parents would like me?"

Lily gulped; she knew her mother is okay with it; she just don't know whether it's also okay with her father.

"Well?"

"I think so, Mom knows a lot about you. I talk to her every time about you" Lily said as she looks up to Sarah's face.

"And your Dad?" Sarah inquired lightly while looking at the blonde's pink cupid bow lips

"I don't know." She speaks softly as she slowly put her hand on the back of Sarah's neck and pulled the brunette closer to her, kissing her gently.

Lily pulled back and said "Don't think about it too much, I'm sure... he'll like you"

(Outside the Café)

Lily and Sarah arrived on time.

Sarah took a deep breath, Lily hold her hand; entwining her fingers to hers squeezing it lightly to assure Sarah that it's going to be okay.

The two stepped inside the Café; Lily scanned the whole area to and saw her father raised his hand; sitting in a table for six persons on a couch seat, Sarah presumed that the man sitting opposite from Lily's father was the business partner Lily mentioned to her. She was feeling nervous.

What if he'll embarrass me in front of his business partner if he doesn't like me? What if he doesn't like people like us? what if...

Sarah mentally slaps herself, she snapped out of it as Lily squeezed her hand tightly; then they finally begin to walk towards that table

Sarah gulped; every step she takes she's calling every saint in the world including the holy trinity.

Sarah and Lily finally reached the table. Lily's father looks so serious, he shared the same blue eyes as Lily; as her mother was the enthusiastic and light one; she offered a sweet smile to Sarah her mom is just as beautiful as Lily, then she finally shifted her focus to the business partner of Lily's Dad.

"Meet my Daughter and her *Clears throat* Girlfriend"

Sarah's jaw dropped as the man faced her

"DAD!?"
