"Miss Valentina, we'll be needing you back on stage in 3!" a man announced, facing the girl who was looking at her reflection in a mirror.
"Okay, Señior Jose." Valentina replied giving a thumbs up to the man before adjusting a strand of her hair, putting back on the headpiece that she wore along with her costume.
It has already been a few years since the Esperanza's arrived and lived their new lives in Encanto. A lot has changed since then. The Esperanzas had gotten much closer to the Madrigals, especially because of Valentina.
Just about a year ago, the construction of the new El Teatro Esperanza was finished. Alehandra and Ernesto decided it would be nice to get back on working in their family business. It took a few months to work on papers and plans. In the end, everything was a success.
People applied for a job at the theater as soon as it was announced that Ernesto was looking for people who were interested. Now, there are 30 people, including the Esperanzas, who are working together at El Teatro Esperanza.
There were a few changes in roles for the Esperanzas. Ernesto is both the Manager and Actor, and sometimes he helps with the music. Alehandra changed from being the Narrator to becoming one of the Actresses. Julian is still an Actor, while his older sister, Ana, is now the new Narrator and Announcer/Speaker.
Valentina is still one of the actors, playing mostly as the lead role. Today, the play was all about an island girl who wanted to venture out in the sea.
(Note: Their play is the Disney movie, Moana.)
After a few adjustments on her outfit, Valentina made her way back to the stage where all the actors and actresses were. The show had finally ended and everyone was to gather up on stage to do a final bow.
Valentina stood beside her cousin, Julian, who too was in his costume. Julian glanced to his side and smiled at her, "Hola prima." he said a little shaky. Valentina turned her head slightly, giving a comforting smile towards him.
"You did well, Julian. Relax." Valentina softly said to him as she reached out to put her hand on his shoulder, calming him down.
Not long after, the curtains were slowly opening, revealing all the actors on the stage. The crowd cheered and applauded.
Valentina and the others lifted all the linked hands together, before simultaneously bowing down. As she lifted her head back up, despite it being slightly dim within the theater, Valentina noticed a familiar figure at one of the back seats.
The person at the back stopped clapping then proceeded to stand up and walk away. Valentina eyed the figure suspiciously before shrugging it off and heading out the stage.
----------
It has already been a few minutes since she exited the stage. Valentina was now back to her usual outfit.
