I was headed for the stairs after talking with Esther. She was very intense. I feel bad for helping. Elijah and the others don't deserve this. But if I had declined, she would have taken my blood forcefully.

I was nearing the stairs when I felt a someone grab my arm and spin me around. He was one of the boys from down stairs. He was very handsome. Who am I kidding, he was hot!

"I think you'll be my favorite." he said with a British accent and I gave him a confused look. "I'm sorry, love. Where are my my manners?" he held his hand out to me and I hesitantly took it. He kissed the back of my gloved hand before speaking. "I'm Kol, Kol Mikaelson." my breath hitched. Of course he was a vampire and not just any vampire, an original. You sure know how to pick them, Elena.

"Elena." I said and he released my hand.

"When I said you'll be my favorite, I meant doppleganger." he took a step closer and I took one back. My back was against the wall. "You see, Tatia was a bore, and Katerina is just a selfish whore. You, well I heard a lot about you from, Elijah." he took another step closer. "Your the compassionate one. You have the lure and a small place in your heart that has darkness. A frightening magic I cling to, waiting to be set free. Your compassion is what keeps you from setting it free." he took another step closer and our bodies were nearly touching.

"You look beautiful in that dress, but you'd probably look ravishing without it or anything else on." I gulped.

"I heard you arguing with the Salvatore's earlier about meeting my mother."

"They're just overprotective of me."

"Why about my mother?"

"She tried to kill me before, twice." he nodded, tilted his head, and started to play with my hair. He smiled. My eyes flickered to his lips and lingered too long before flickering back to his eyes. He smirked.

"Forget this conversation unless in my presence. If anyone else is with you while in my presence don't tell them anything." I closed my eyes and opened them. I was alone. I turned around and headed for the stairs.

I woke with a start and shot up. I've had that dream before. I looked to the bed next to mine thinking of the events that occurred yesterday. It made me smile. Kol and I made immense. and I'm temporarily not alone. That thought made me from. The beds empty and made, where's Kol?

I swung my legs out of bed and stood up. I took a shower and got dressed for work. Once dressed I walked out of the bathroom and walked over to my bed. I unplugged my phone from the charger and checked it. No messages or missed calls. They truly don't care.

I heard the motel room door open. I spun around to see Kol walking in. He shut the door and looked at me.

"Where are you going?"

"Work?" I said like a question. He knows I work.

"I guess we'll have to wait until later."

"For what?" he smirked.

"Your first lesson." I was still confused. "Teaching you magic." Him? What would he know?

"I may be a vampire, but I was human once a thousand years ago and just your luck I was a witch. For centuries I worked with witches. I know you know this."

"Why would I know this? We barely know each other."

"I know more about you than you think."

"What do you know?"

"I'll tell you later, you have work." he smirked.

Today my shift won't be very long. It's a Friday, so I only work two hours and I have the weekend off. I walk in with a real smile and Kol following behind me.
