A/N: I realize I switched POVs recently (facepalm) I can't with myself. I've been writing my own original story for the longest time and it's in third person wich is why I didn't notice I was doing it here as well so I deeply apologize if y'all preferred Elena's POV. I can always change back in future chapters if you would all like. Another small bit of a sex scene. I'm gonna level with you guys, I love reading them but I feel so awkward writing them.
"Kol! Fuck!" Elena was practically screaming in pleasure. It was maybe three weeks since they found out they were going to somehow have a child. The sex was still non-stop. Their love, lust, and excitement kept them almost exclusively in bed. Her walls contracted around his cock again, her body shivered in ecstasy, and her stomach clenched as her orgasm washed over her. Finally, the grip brought him to his own climax and he dropped beside her on the bed.
The two lay there, breathing hard. Elena wanted to get as much sex out of her system before she was a little too big for that much exercise. They both made it clear the sex would never stop at any point in the pregnancy but they would have to be a little more careful when Elena's stomach would eventually swell with the baby.
Kol rolled to his side, facing Elena. He engulfed her in his arms, sighing in contentment into her hair. Thankfully, the two moved back out of the compound to a place close by. The other Mikaelson siblings had grown tired of hearing the couple go at it every second of every day. But they were happy to get privacy and they would need it when the baby eventually arrived anyway.
The new house was a creole cottage, not too big. There were four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The room closest to their master bedroom was the set-up for the nursery. They already had a crib, a bookshelf filled with baby books, a baby swing, and some random infant toys. For now, everything was neutral but when they find out the gender, they plan to add more color.
When Kol and Elena stopped to think about it, they were somewhat terrified at the thought of being parents but overall they were happy. Elena had always wanted to be a mom and Kol had really come around to the idea of being a father. Most of his life as a vampire his emotions were turned off. Non-existent. He relished his death to the fullest and didn't mind making the most heinous of decisions. Never once did he see a chance for redemption or even want it. Until Elena. Until their baby. He could take his chance to truly be happy for the first time in a thousand years. Maybe he didn't deserve it but he would spend the rest of his life earning it the best he could. Not that he believed he ever truly could but like Damon Salvatore had changed, he already had too. But also like him, he'll be the antihero. He will protect and serve his family but he won't aimlessly kill and destroy unnecessarily like in the past.
Kol listened to the steady heartbeats of Elena and the baby as she dozed off. The rhythm was therapeutic and lulled him into a deep sleep as well.
"Get out of bed now!" The two glared at Klaus and Rebekah. They were standing at the foot of the bed, awoken by Klaus' growl.
"What?" Kol kept the blankets wrapped around Elena's naked body as both sat up.
"Stop with the modesty. No one cares." Rebekah rolled her eyes at Elena. "We have more important things to worry about."
"Like?" Kol was huffing in irritation.
"Getting the hell out of New Orleans." This time it was Klaus. "Mikael has found some white oak stakes, don't ask me how. Freya has seen him. And even though their reunion was semi-happy, we know that the rest of us will not be."
"So, pack because we all need to get the Hell out of here. He will kill every single one of us and we have nothing to combat him right now."
The Originals along with Caroline and Elena met in a remote spot near the swamps to get in their cars and head to the airport in Dallas. It was about an eight-and-a-half-hour drive but they didn't want Mikael to catch them at an airport in Louisiana. All were disappointed to leave their new home but they knew it was currently the safest move. They took two cars, both driving closely to one another to avoid losing anyone. Klaus, Elijah, Hope, Hayley, Freya, and Caroline were in the leading SUV. The second SUV was Kol, Elena, Rebekah, and Marcel. Marcel rode along for another fighter and also to protect him from their father. Leaving him behind would definitely leave him in danger due to his ties to the Mikaelson family.
Elena's head rested against the window as she watched the scenery fly by. She was in the passenger seat, and Kol was driving, their hands intertwined. The radio was on low playing a popular pop station. Klaus had mentioned they'd be traveling to England, getting as many miles between them and the patriarch of the family. Once they arrived, Freya and Elena would put their magic together to do a powerful spell to keep them from being tracked. But not immediately. They would give them time for Esther to track them there first. They left a spy in New Orleans to inform them when the spell was completed and when Mikael was on a plane to England. Then to be safe they were going to fly back to the states and hide out in another backwoods state. She was still very disheartened to leave her new home. Everything had somewhat settled temporarily and she had grown accustomed to her new life. One tear rolled down her cheek before she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
