Kol and I walked down the streets of the French Quarter hand in hand. In case of the prophecy being true and about us I wore sunglasses. I was suppose to where them away from the cabin or compound. They don't help much but it makes Kol happy if I where them. To make it fair I made him where them as well.

Smiling, I layed my head on Kol's shoulder as we walked. From my peripheral vision I could see him smiling.

We walked in to Rousseau's bar. Camille was currently working. Kol and I sat at a table in the back across from each other.

"Has Freya called with anything?" Camille asked as she sat a glass of scotch in front of Kol.

"Not yet." I sighed. "Hopefully she'll find something soon." I peered over at Kol sipping his drink. "I don't get a drink?"

"The baby doesn't need a drink." she answered quietly.

"What if I'm not pregnant?" I whispered.

"Better safe them sorry." she shrugged and walked away. I narrowed my eyes at her.

I looked over at Kol whose lips were turned up with amusement. I reached across the table to grab his glass but he moved it away. He shook his head at me.

"Sorry darling. You heard what Camille said. No drink for you." he chuckled.

I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You're adorable." he snickered.

"You're hilarious." I retorted. "And an ass."

"Sticks and stones may break my bones no one will love you as much as I do." I couldn't help but smile.

"I love you too suck up." I giggled and he smiled.

"Kol Mikaelson? In love? I never thought I'd see the day."

We both looked over to see a handsome man with dark brown hair. He was holding a glass of bourbon.

"Lucien." Kol smiled in an unfriendly way at him.

Lucien looks over at me and sits down beside me. He sticks his hand out to me.

"Lucien Castle."

I looked over at Kol before hesitantly putting my hand in his.

"Elena." I said with a fake smile.

He brought my hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of it. I snatched my hands away harshly when I heard Kol growl lowly.

"I see the pleasure is mine."

I rolled my eyes. He looked back at Kol.

"What are you doing here, Lucien?"

"I heard my second favorite Mikaelson was alive. I had to see for myself. See how you're doing."

He finished off his drink and set the glass on the table.

"Seems you're doing better than OK. You're alive and in love with a very attractive woman." he said staring at me.

"You wound me." Kol said sarcastically. "Did you think I'd amount to nothing?"

"Of course not. I just didn't expect you to fall in love. Especially with a human." Lucien chuckled.

Kol narrowed his eyes at Lucien before abruptly standing up.

"We need to leave. Elena." I nodded standing.

Kol grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. He pulled me behind him as we walked out of Rousseau's.

"Niklaus!" Kol called as we entered the compound.

On the way there he had told me about their history with Lucien
