It seemed that ever since that day off, Jungkook couldn't fall asleep. He spent hours trying to close his eyes and sleep—and every time he managed to, he would be woken up again after each hour, thus repeating the cycle again and again.

He had tried everything: relaxing an hour before bed with no phone, taking medication to make him drowsy, and even counting sheep. His performance suffered greatly from his lack of sleep, and Jungkook was tired of apologizing for it.

Nothing he tried worked, and it was getting to the point where he considered telling the managers—knowing full well that he wouldn't ever get them involved. The only one he really trusted was Sejin, but he recently decided to take off work for 3 months. His wife had given birth a few days prior to a pair of twins, and he wanted to spend time with his newborn daughters. Besides, caring for two babies at once is a handful, as Jungkook had experienced. Littles, newborn babies, they were practically the same thing.

So BTS wouldn't be seeing their usual manager till August.

On a separate note, Jungkook hadn't slipped since he heard his hyung's conversation about him. Ever since then, the maknae had subtly distanced himself from the others.

Especially Seokjin and Namjoon. It was just too hard to not feel awkward around them.

Though they hadn't really noticed, since the two hadn't been relying on Jungkook as of late. The littles hadn't really slipped—too busy in their big lives to even consider doing that.

What was odd though, was how Jungkook hadn't slipped either.

Going from slipping multiple times a day to not slipping in a handful of them—it was safe to say that the change was hitting Jungkook like a high-speed railway train.

He just wanted to sleep his problems away, but looks like he couldn't experience such a luxury.

Turning over for the 100th time, Jungkook stared at the bright red numbers on his alarm clock.

"1:28" Jungkook sighed.

"Is sleep too much to ask for these days?" He mumbled to himself, turning onto his back. He held on tighter to his Cooky stuffie, hoping that the pink bunny could miraculously grant him some shut-eye.

Overwhelmed by his frustration, the boy felt like crying. He was probably already crying, but was too out of it to notice.

He was so out of it, that he thought he heard knocking on his bedroom door. "Great, the hallucinations are starting to kick in now too, huh?" He spat bitterly, shutting his eyes tightly.

Knock knock knock

There was that gentle knocking again, but who would be up at this unholy hour?

The door then creaked open, catching Jungkook by surprise. He sat up, a rush of adrenaline flowing through his veins. There, behind the door, Jungkook could see a figure peeking into his room. Jungkook's vision had already adjusted to the darkness from being awake in the night for so long, so he noticed it quickly.

"Kookie?" A small, high pitched voice asked into the room, indicating that it could only be one thing at his door.

A little.

"Who's there?" Jungkook interrogated, trying to make out just who it was out of the four candidates.

It couldn't have been Taehyung or Yoongi, since they slept in a caregiver's room, and had easy access to one. Plus, Yoongi was a bit too young in his headspace to even think of anything but crying when distressed.
