"Hello, we are BTS!" The seven boys greeted the camera. Today was their 5 year anniversary since their debut and Jungkook couldn't believe that 5 years had already gone by.
Today they were shooting a special Run BTS episode in honor of their anniversary. It would be an episode of celebration, and the band was actually excited.
While Namjoon spoke to the camera, Jungkook studied the room. Of course, there was the film crew with their cameras and bright lights. There was also a couch, some hung up streamers, and games set up around the room. This could actually be fun for him, and Kookie too—if he even slipped.
He still had a bit of trouble with slipping nowadays, and that's what made him so easily irritated all the time. He just couldn't relax.
Once the cameras were cut, all the boys relaxed. They could finally get to the fun parts. "Alright everyone," their temporary manager, Yang Beomyun, started, gaining everyone's attention. He was an older man, probably in his 40's, who always looked displeased, specifically because of the permanent scowl on his face.
"The camera crew will be filming you guys one at a time to record a little sentiment about your anniversary, as well as anything else you'd like to tell ARMY." He said, and the boys nodded.
"After we're all done with the interviews, there will be a meal ready for you, and then boom, everyone gets to go home. Oh and feel free to interact with each other—ARMY will love it." The manager concluded, and the boys scattered around the room. Jungkook scanned the room for anything that may catch his eye—fearing he would get targeted for one of those solo interview-type moments.
He saw a couple of his hyungs surrounding the tv, and decided to see what they were up to. "Hey hyungs, what'cha doing?" He queried.
"Oh we're just going to play some Mario Kart," Taehyung said, sliding his wrist through the joy-con strap. A Nintendo switch was plugged in; Taehyung, Seokjin, and Hoseok, were all about to play.
"Cool! Can I play too?" The youngest asked, growing excited. He loved playing competitive video games, since he always beat his hyungs! The others glanced at each other, before Hoseok spoke up.
"Sorry Kook-ah, we only have 3 controllers..." He said, and Jungkook frowned.
"Shouldn't there be a fourth controller somewhere?" He whined, trying to repress his disappointment.
"Er- well, the fourth controller is actually out of battery—it was like that when we found it." Seokjin spoke up, and the other two nodded along. "Sorry Kook."
He couldn't believe this, there was no way that was true! Why wouldn't they charge a controller before their special anniversary shoot?
He took a deep breath. He needed to calm down. Why was he getting so upset over something so small? It was just a game. There were other games he could play. Maybe the controller really was dead—they obviously wouldn't lie to him about something as silly as that.
"Aw, it's okay, I'll just go play something else," the maknae sighed. "Have fun with your game, hyungs."
"Hold it right there," an authoritarian voice spoke, catching the maknae off guard. He turned to see their temporary manager gesturing for him to come over. "It's your turn for the personal video segment." He instructed, leading the maknae down the hall to a different room.
They passed Namjoon who had just finished his own interview—the leader sending a dimpled smile to the younger. Jungkook visibly relaxed, he adored that smile.
"Okay, so when you go in there, just restate the question and answer it. Then talk about whatever you're up to, yada yada," Beomyun explained carelessly. This irked the maknae. Jungkook felt a twinge of disgust; This guy seems like an asshole.
