Beyoncé trained and studied in all things space. Since she was a little girl, she'd taken a big love and interest in the sky. Growing up christian, she'd always aspire to be able to reach and touch heaven one day, or at least get close. She'd always wanted to be an astronaut.
When middle and high school came, she began to adopt a more tighter schedule with studying so that she would be able to get the grades and credits she needed to start her career.
Onika, she was smart growing up too. Honors and AP kid, and applied herself, however she went the more traditional route, as in being a nurse and moving in with her highschool sweetheart.
However, life was and is life. And it wasn't so roses and daisies after Onika's relationship left the honey-moon stage. Her now ex... Aubrey was just very two faced and sketchy and Onika caught him with another woman in the bed they shared and built together.
It seemed like fate that Onika found out about an experimental space trip. She didn't tell anyone, just signed up.
Months leading up to take off Onika went through physicals and on the day of takeoff, she gave a call to her family, saying her goodbyes. It'd take about 120 years to get to the planet of their destination. Hee family felt it was too abrupt but by the time Onika hung up, there was nothing that could be said to change her mind.
Thousands of people were laid down in pods and put i concilia, then cryo-frozen so that they could be revived come 120 years and inhabit a new planet.
Beyoncé's pod begins to resuscitate her. Beyoncé is awake, 90 years before she should be. Beyoncé wakes up 31 years old. She hasn't aged in 30 years. Shockingly. On earth she's be about 60 or so. But on this spaceship, time is in many ways, frozen.
Beyoncé islaying down and without moving around much, looks around from her spot. She hasn't realized how early she woke up. She is under the impression that she will be greeted by someone and be given orders.
A projector of her vitals appears before her eyes. This makes Beyoncé actually sit up and look around. She sees other pods full of bodies, but everyone else is still sleeping. She's confused. But maybe they have a particular order? She can't really remember 30 years ago, but maybe they wanted astronauts and everyone on the space team up first to evaluate the spaceship before waking everyone else up.
She shrugs and gets up to stretch and walk around. She's confused as to why she's alone but she goes ahead and helps herself to the bathroom and has a quick shower and a long profound wash day.
