The short woman is sat down on the park bench watching the two preteen girls in her care race eachother wildly on the grass and sidewalk trail.
She pulls out her notebook from her book bag and occupies herself.
Not much far from herself, Beyoncé is struggling with her new dog that her family peer pressured her to get. Beyoncé was very strict and standoffish in nature and has always been told that she should lack more seriousness. Her mother got her small fluffy dog and she named him Munchie and it's like she has beef with the dog already. She's getting annoyed when the dog won't go about and play with the other dogs and only wants to be held.
The mild September air has a vibe of slight pollen and ever so slight chill without being too unbearable. Everyone in the park has a light sweater or jacket on and some variation of long pants.
The grass sways with the wind like a couple at their wedding to a soft ballad.
The sky as blue as cotton candy at a nearby stand.
The trees slightly orange giving the subtle reminder of the upcoming dates of Halloween and Thanksgiving.
"Munchie, go! Nigga I'm gonna wrap you right back up and return you to my mama!"
The dog continues barking at her and jumping in circles.
"She coulda got me a more serious dog. Nigga you a purse dog." Beyoncé shakes her head and says fuck it as she gets down on the ground and let's her puppy climb into her lap.
On the bright side Beyoncé brought a rope toy in hopes Munchie would play fetch and the puppy bites and nips at it. Beyoncé finally cracking a smile for the first time since she got the dog in a gift box from her mom and her younger sister Solange at her birthday dinner.
Beyoncé, being fresh out of school after studying architecture was in full work mode. She was always someone who had a plan in mind and had tunnel vision and was focused, always serious, but Tina hoped she would loosen up. Mathew on the other hand agreed with Beyoncé's drive and encouraged it, he always brags about how focused she is and how proud he is to have a child who knows and goes after what she wants.
Tina recently has been going on about her daughter having more fun and getting ready to settle down. But right now Beyonce doesn't think it's in her schedule. She wants to relax more than she works in 5 years or honestly less.
After about an hour, Munchie yawns and stretches and starts to get comfortable on Beyoncé's lap.
The woman knows her dog is tired. She picks the puppy up.
