Beyoncé came into the house trying to sift through decorations and packaging thrown all over the floor.
"Bae!" she exclaimed as Much and 4oe ran circles around her after a chew toy. "What in the hell?"
"What?" Megan shouted from the staircase trying to hang garlands on the railing.
The whole house smelled of apple pie and was hot as hell with the fireplace going. It was like Christmas had a blowout in the first floor of the house. Beyonce liked Christmas, but she didn't necessarily love it.
Megan has always been an extra person. Not only just her extravagant personality but also in the things she does. Beyonce knew this before she dated her but was still nonetheless shocked.
The woman showed out so much during thanksgiving with every single detail she shouldn't be shocked, but she is. Beyonce is usually the biggest perfectionist and critic out of the two, but when it comes to the holidays, she's definitely a minimalist. Some years she didn't even bother to put out a candycane.
Beyoncé came up behind her girlfriend and snuggled up to her, arms around her waist, kissing her neck after such a mentally draining day at work.
Megan melted into her lover's touch because she was yearning for it since Beyoncé left the house that morning.
"Gimme kiss, pretty girl." Beyoncé grabbed Megan's face. "How you been baby?"
"Good." Megan turns around and smiles into the kiss, closing her eyes.
Her best friend, her lover, her future wife, her fiancé, her everything was now home. Two more days at work before she was off for the entirety of December.
Beyoncé slapped and grabbed Megan's ass.
"Now what's the theme this year?"
"I'm trying to go for candyland."
"You tryna make it look like diabetes and clogged arteries?"
Megan bursted out into laughter while Beyoncé looked deadass serious at the statement.
"Nah, candy canes and Dots and gingerbread men."
Megan can't stop her laugh.
"Damn, lady quit laughin' at me."

Beyonce's first day of break and much needed relaxation begins like Megan giving her breakfast in bed because it was a challenge for her to come downstairs with the excessive boxes and scissors and ribbon laying everywhere. Megan had to grab the dogs and transfer them outside herself because there is literally no walking room.
