Chapter 10

"Stay" Kyron suddenly blurted out slightly ruining the moment. We'd been layed together on Kyrons bed for about 3 hours, just talking, asking questions about each other.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Stay here tonight, please?" Kyron explained, looking into my eyes, how could I refuse?
"Ok" I sighed "but what about Jayden?" I asked.
"He can stay in one of the spare rooms" He answered. We stayed in each others arms for a few minutes longer, before I stood up, grabbing Kyron's hand and saying
"Come on"
"Where are we going" he asked as I opend the door.
"To socialise" I said in a duh tone, Kyron shot me a funny look "what?" I asked
"You don't seem like a very sociable person" he said shrugging and shaking his head
"Well, you learn something new everyday!" I sang happily.
The kitchen was full of people when we walked in "Alpha" they all said respectivly, bowing their heads, when they noticed I was with him they all looked shocked but quickly regained themselves and all chimed "Luna" leaving me feeling slightly embarrased and very awkward and the floor suddenly becane extremely interesting. Kyron pulled me through to the next room -which I assume was the living room - chuckling at my reaction. The Living room was practically empty, apart from a small group of children looking to be around the age of 6-8. We carried on walking through to the games room, where Jayden and Jason are playing C.O.D. and a few other groups of teenagers are playing various different consoles. The guys obviously heard us come in because the they paused their game and turned around to face us.
"Told ya!" Jayden sang at me.
"Shut up! I worked it out eventually!" I said punching his arm.
Rubbing his arm he gave me a questioning look and said "soo...?" I went and sat down with the two boys, Kyron standing behind me.
"Well we made a couple of discoveries actually." I paused, causing Jayden to throw me a look, urging me to continue. "I'm a Hybrid"
"You're a what!?" he almost shouted
"Shhh, a Hybrid dear boy, are you going deaf?" I sarcastically asked. "Anyway, that wasn't the only discovery we made, do you remeber Susanne Thorn, mum's best friend?" I asked
"She ca-"
"Wait,"Jason stopped us "was your mum Anna Beauchamp?"
"Mmhmm" I nodded
"I'm sorry" he said sympathetically, giving us a half smile. I nodded in apriecitation.
"Me too, sorry Jayden, what were you saying?" I asked getting us back on track.
"She came to the house a couple times, and mum mentioned her quite a few times but, why?" He questioned.
"She's Kyron's mum. And did you know, she didn't work as a cleaner in a huge house, she was a member of this pack - she didn't becone friends with Susanne because she was her boss, they became friends because Susanne was her Luna." I had somehow ended up on the edge of the chair during my explanaition. Jayden was sat straight on the sofa, staring into space not moving at all. "Jayden...?" I spoke feeling worried.
"Why did she never tell us, why did she think it was necessary not to?" He asked in a whisper. I shrugged shaking my head slightly. A sad look in Jaydens eyes, I knew my eyes looked the same, I pulled him into a hug, feeling a few tears on my shoulder, a couple of tears escaped my eyes, but I quickly wiped them away. He pulled back and wiped his eyes before walking off and muttering something about needing air. For a few moments the rest of us just sat in silence, until I stood up, Kyron was at my side in an instance "I'm just going to the bathroom" I told him with a sad voice before walking out of the games room to find a bathroom.
When I eventually found the bathroom, I almost ran in, locking the door behind me. Tears erupted from my eyes. Memories of mum came flooding back to me. I slid down the door, my head rested on my knees and broke down. I hated the fact that mum felt the need to lie to us, what could have possibly been that bad? Maybe she had good reason...but what? After a good 20 minutes of crying, I stood up and took in my appearance in the mirror, I looked a mess. I pulled my hair back into a pony tail, and splashed my face with water, wiping away the mascara streaks from my cheeks. I dried my face and walked out to go find Jayden checking my phone for the time, I couldn't believe it when it read '22:28'.
Walking through the halls of the pack house was strange. People would smile to me and bow there heads in respect, which made me feel slightly awkward, so I'd just smile back and carry on walking. I eventually found Jayden sat on the back-doorstep, with his elbows propped on his knees and his chin rested on his fists, with tear streaks down his face, staring into the endless amounts of woods behind the garden.
"Hey" I whispered putting a hand on his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder at me and attempted a half smile whilst standing up. Tears began to fall from his eyes again and his attempted smile dropped so I pulled him into a hug as he began to sob.
We stood like that for a few minutes, swaying, whilst I hummed a tune mum used to hum whilst cooking or cleaning, slowly calming him down, until eventually his tears stopped falling and he pulled back, shoving his hands in his back pockets.
"I'm sorry, I guess I just miss her...a lot more than I realized" he mumbled
"It's fine" I said, wiping the tears from his cheeks with my thumbs "we have to cry sometimes right? I miss her too. I just hate seeing my little brother so broken"
"You're only 3 minutes older than me" he wined
"Still older" I shot back, and we both laughed. "Come on we're staying here tonight" I told him as I started walking back to the games room, where Kyron and Jason - hopefully - still were.

I know nothing much happens, but it's a filler for the next one where stuff does actually happen! Promise!
