"What have you done, Firecracker..."

Ekko looked at the blazing building. He didn't even notice Heimerdinger approach his side.

"Good Heavens... Who did this?" The small man asked, looking to the taller, yet significantly younger Ekko. Ekko jumped, looking at Heimerdinger.

"Jinx, I'm sure. Who else would nuke Piltover?" He sighed loudly.

"So, is Jinx this... 'firecracker' you were talking about?"

"Yeah, it's um... an old nickname."
"It sounds to me that you have feelings for this 'Jinx'." Heimerdinger let out a soft chuckle. "Ah, young love, such a sweet and destructive thing."

"Hey, no." Ekko protested as his face heated up. "I was in love with Powder, not her." He said, having put the two names of the girl and made them categories of who Jinx was. Powder being the sweet, smart girl he fell in love with during childhood, and Jinx being the t*rrorist, world-widely feared that girl became of her. But all the smaller man did was shake his head. "Do you know where to find her?" He asked.

"Well yeah, I guess." Ekko nodded.
"Then go to her, boy." Heimerdinger frowned.

So that's what Ekko did. He left Heimerdinger and Thalia in charge and went to find Jinx. He decided to go to the Last Drop, where they used to go and sit, waiting to see if Violet would ever come back and watching the tavern slowly change. That stopped after Ekko formed the firelights, but he knew Jinx still went there when she was upset. And that's exactly where she was. Talking to a man named Chuck, as she called him, while sipping some soda. Ekko let out a sigh, sitting next to her. "Jinx, did you bomb Piltover?" He asked, looking at her. The girl stopped, looking at him. "Nice to see you too, Ekko." She replied with a frown. "That doesn't answer my question."
"Yeah, I did. So what? Who're they gonna go to war with? Silco?" She almost laughed, instead just stirring her straw around in her drink. "Silco's dead. I own his cooperation thingy now." She said dryly.

"Oh, uh...I'm so sorry, Jinx." Ekko said, though internally he was fist-pumping the air. "I don't care anymore." She shook her head, looking at Ekko. "Can you just... kill me already, if you're going to? I just want to get this over with."

"I'm not going to kill you. If anything, I need to protect you from the enforcers that are going to come for your head." He frowned.

"Just let 'em, why do you care in the first place?" She looked at him. "Because you're Zaun's princess. If anything happened to you, Sevika would practically be Zaun's ruler, and that is a worse idea than you being in control."
"Why? Because Sevika doesn't jinx everything? Because Sevika's harder to break? You need to stay out of my way, Ekko. Before I, or the enforcers, bring your head back to your little gang as a trophy."

Ekko stood up, holding his hand out to Jinx.

"What are you doing, Savior?"
"I'm saving you, Firecracker."
His response made Jinx let out a soft chuckle.

"You really haven't changed."
