FOURTEEN

"SU-HYEOK!" Dae-Su let out a sigh of relief as the Lee boy climbed into the room with the others. "Are you okay?" Su-Hyeok ignored them as all he could think about was Soo-Jin and Cheong-San.

"Where's the phone?" On-Jo asked him. "And Cheong-San?"

"And Soo-Jin?" Wu-Jin added, as he figured On-Jo wasn't going to ask. The boy stayed silent and On-Jo let out a worried huff as she ran towards the window and looked out of it. "Su-Hyeok... where is he?"

"Where's Soo-Jin?" Nam-Ra questioned with concern laced in her voice. Su-Hyeok turned to look at his friends who were stood waiting for answers. "We got separated in the teachers office. I'm... I'm sure they'll be fine." He answered.

"Are you serious? Oh, shit!"

"I'm sorry..." Su-Hyeok apologized. "For coming back alone."

"What do we do? On-Jo and Cheong-San are really close." Hyo-Ryeong quietly asked Ji-Min. "They're going out." Ji-Min told her friend. "But On-Jo told me they're not."

Su-Hyeok reached into the pocket of his blazer and pulled out On-Jo's name tag and sighed before putting it back and walking over to the girl that was by the window.

"I'm sure Cheong-San is fine." He reassured, only mentioning him as he didn't think she would care for Soo-Jin because she didn't say anything about her not coming back. "You know how fast he is."

"I don't know why he never listens." She mumbled sadly. "Ever since we were kids, he's just never listened to me. I told him not to go, but, of course, he did."

"I'm sorry. I should've brought him back here. Soo-Jin too."

"Where do you think..." Nam On-Jo began. "He is now?" Su-Hyeok thought for a moment. "I'm pretty sure he's in a safe hiding spot." He answered, just hoping that Cheong-San and Soo-Jin were together, safe.

"Joon-Yeong, didn't you mention that your science club made a drone?" On-Jo asked, turning around and walking over to the boy that was sat down.

"Yeah," he nodded. "You want to look for Cheong-San and Soo-Jin with it?" He questioned. "Could we?"

"Well yeah, but it's in the science lab."

Once On-Jo and Joon-Yeong returned from the science lab with the drone, Joon-Yeong sat himself down on a chair and began to set up the device.

"Does it work?" Dae-Su, who was sat beside Joon-Yeong wondered. "Is it working?" He looked up at him. "I think it will."

The boy picked up a VR headset that he had also made and put it over his eyes. He moved one of the toggles on the controller and it made the drone fly up from the table.

"Holy crap! That thing is crazy fast!" Dae-Su pointed out the obvious as the students watched the drone fly around the room. "I'll take it outside after u find Cheong-San and Soo-Jin. If I find any rescuers out there, I'll land in front of them."  Joon-Yeong explained as he went to flu the device out the window but was stopped by Nam-Ra.

"Wait a second," She called out. "They say when people know their situation is hopeless. That's when they despair."

"Sweet saying," Dae-Su complimented. "But what does it mean?" Nam-Ra though for a second. "Even if everyone in the world but us turned into zombies, we can't fall into despair."

Dae-Su nodded in understanding. "Ahh.. So that's what that means."

"Nam-Ra," On-Jo began. "It's best to make a plan and try to stick to it, but we're not all top students, and we can't be as smart as you. Being logical isn't part of human nature."

"In a crisis, it's better to be logical."

"We need hope more then logic. Don't you think that's best right now?"

Nam-Ra looked away from On-Jo and down at the table and didn't say anything. "Hey, I think... flying the drone is what we need right now." Dae-Su stated. "Okay, try it." He told Joon-Yeong. "Here it goes."

The drone exited through the window and began to glide past the classroom windows, where the teens that were gathered around the screen that was showing the view of the drone saw the zombies.

"Oh, no.." Hyo-Ryeong whimpered. "Everyone's zombies."

"No one in the infirmary." Wu-Jin announced as the drone looked into the room. "Joon-Yeong, go somewhere else." Dae-Su told the boy, which he did.

"Wait! Hold on! Stop right there." Wu-Jin stuttered out as he saw a zombie with an arrow pierced through its chest. "Is that an arrow?"

"You're right. It is."

"Why? What?" Dae-Su questioned. "My older sister. She had a competition today." Jang Wu-Jin answered.

The drone continued to go in and out of classrooms, still no sign of Cheong-San or Soo-Jin. "Where did they go?" Su-Hyeok pondered.

"It's Cheong-San!" On-Jo gasped as the device stopped in the window of the music room. "What room is that?"

"Cheong-San!" Su-Hyeok yelled. "He.. He can't hear you." Joon-Yeong shook his head. "Hey! Cheong-San!" On-Jo cried out.

"He can't hear you."

"Soo-Jin... She isn't there." Nam-Ra gloomily mumbled. She was right. Park Soo-Jin wasn't there. She wasn't beside Lee Cheong-San and she wasn't by the door trying to keep it shut. She wasn't there at all.

Su-Hyeok's heart broke. "Soo-Jin..." he whispered as tears formed in his eyes. The group hadn't seen her throughout the school so she had to of been turned.

Nam-Ra looked down at the table as tears fell from her eyes. The only friend she had was gone.

Wu-Jin bit his bottom lip to prevent the tears from falling. Even though they weren't best friends, they had grown close to each other and seeing that she was gone, hurt him a lot.

Su-Hyeok turned away from the group and walked over to the window as he silently cried. He was over the moon that his best friend was alive, and somewhat safe, but devastated that the girl he liked - even started to love - had turned into one of them.

So.... That was something. poor Soo-Jin :(((

Don't worry, another chapter will hope posted again tonight!
